    Failing plaster?

Thanks...so do people essentially only replaster if they get tired of it looking worn (like mine), or once they are losing lots of water and the plaster is peeling off in large pieces? Does the e-z patch, or some other material work well at covering up the gunite (which is where I assume the...

    Failing plaster?

All, Among my various issues with the pool, the big looming issue I might have is the plaster (the pool is ~25k gallons, gunite/plaster pool). The pool company I use on occasion believes the plaster might be original to the pool, which is prob at least 20 years old, and while it's held up well...

Solar Pool Cover and Chlorine Floaters

Thanks...ok, ok, I get it, switch to liquid chlorine. I do have a Taylor test kit, and try to use it at least every couple of weeks. I also don't really have time to add chemicals each day, as I travel a fair bit for work. Since I have to figure out how to dump out thousands of gallons of water...

Solar Pool Cover and Chlorine Floaters

Thanks. I know the CYA is an issue, but water here in Atlanta is very expensive...draining half the pool would probably cost me a couple hundred bucks at a minimum, whereas even if I use a high amount of chlorine, I only used 1 bucket last year ~$100, and my CYA is actually down (100, was 200+...

Solar Pool Cover and Chlorine Floaters

Hello, I recently bought a clear solar cover for my pool. I am not using a reel, just cut it to shape since my pool is an odd shape and I figured a reel wouldn't work too well (the cover would get caught along the curves of the pool). My chlorination method is 2 chlorine floaters, usually I...

    Slabjacking

How deep are the pipes typically buried? I guess it depends too on how deep they will drill, I thought it was a good bit below the slab.

    Slabjacking

Sorry to hijack this thread, but I too am looking at slabjacking or concrete raising companies. I'll post pics tomorrow, but I have 2 cracks that aren't level (and a few others which are level, and so I therefore don't care as much about those). The pool is concrete/plaster, prob 20-30 years old...
