Hayward H400FD N-Gas Heater - Moving Gas inlet to right side

Hi Guys, We have a Hayward H400FD heater that will be hooked up for the first time in the spring. In the literature I've read from Hayward it mentions that the water, electrical, and gas connections can be configured on either the right or left side. The relocation of the water connections is...

I want your dead T-Cell-15 SWCG cell

Hi group, As the title says, I'm looking for someones dead T-Cell-15 (Hayward/Goldline, etc). Just finished building our pool, and we have a T15 that I want to pull and bring indoors for the winter. I know Hayward sells a "GLX-CELL-PIPE" for this application, but for $30-40 plus shipping... I...

Suction/Return plumbing "High" so it drains for winter?

We're in the build on a DIY 18x36 IG vinyl. I'm starting to run the plumbing for the suction and return lines - using 2" and 1.5" Sch40 pvc. I was going to run all of the lines back to the equipment pad just overtop of the bond beam with about 2" of dirt on the concrete to protect the pipes...

Auto-Fill Plumbing - Avoiding stagnant water and other Q's

Re: Auto-Fill Plumbing - Avoiding stagnant water and other Q The "run back to the pad" would be required only if the K1100 was used as in method #1. They have a sensor that sits in a vertical piece of pipe that is equalized with the pool level. You wouldn't want this pipe sticking up though the...

Auto-Fill Plumbing - Avoiding stagnant water and other Q's

Hi There, I am considering purchasing the Levolor K1100 auto fill system, and have questions regarding the installation. From reading the manual I understand that there are two basic install methods: 1.)Using a static standpipe into which a sensor sits vertically, or 2.)Using a “remote” sensor...

Builder suggesting a Two Stage Bottom for a Vinyl Pool???

Hi Gang, We're approaching the final moments of our planning stages. We're doing a (primarily) DIY 18x36 IG, and a 20x30 auxiliary building. I'm outsourcing the footings/block foundation of the building. The guy who I am currently looking at signing the deal with for the foundation also claims...

That's awesome... Tell those little elves when they're headed back up to the North Pole, to take a joy ride on the Old' Mans sled and "drop" some of those kits all over Canada  . There's a bunch of us trying to get our hands on them.... :whoot: LOL

vinyl liner pool build in Ontario, Canada NEW PICTURES

I would appreciate your feedback for the Cleardeck system. We're considering adding it to our build, as it obviously keeps the cover hidden and out of sight. It sure is costly upfront! Thanks! - Beautiful build BTW!

Planning a DIY IG - Looking for High Water Table Solutions

Re: Planning a DIY IG - Looking for High Water Table Solutio Thanks Dave, I agree that #3 would probably be the easiest solution after it is installed, and yes, being sandy soil it's likely not going to require drainage between the hopper bottom and "the sump" (good point). But I am concerned...

Planning a DIY IG - Looking for High Water Table Solutions

Hi Group, Our family is in the planning stages of a DIY IG 18x36 with an 8' deep end for the end of this summer. I'm targeting the end of the summer because I think I will end up dealing with a water table issue and I'm hoping that the dry summer will work in my favor. I have been monitoring...

"Mark Forums Read" button on "View Unread Posts" page?

Not sure if this is something that is already in place, but I'm just missing... I have a bookmark in my titlebar that automatically brings me to a listing of unread posts on the forum. This is my primary link to the forum and shows me, in one list, all of the new posts since my last visit. It...

    Hello - CaveDiver from Ontario...

I don't know if it's a matter of "can't", or if "won't" is more appropriate... I really wish they could/wound - I'd like to support the TFP community sponsors... My only known option at this point is to try the essentially similar Taylor K-2006 at Piscines-Apollo Pools, but it's $123...

    Hello - CaveDiver from Ontario...

Hi Everyone, I've been a loooooong time lurker, reading new posts every other day for quite some time now... I figured it was time I actually said "hello" and introduced myself. It all started a couple of years ago when I my wife and I moved into a house with a larger lard. We've always wanted...
