i'm not an expert, but from what i got on this site was very helpful. first you have to keep at it. what i mean by that is you should get one of those dpd test kits so you can keep the FC at shock level and CC zero. that way you could do all the testing yourself instead of going back and forth...

i got a test kit and tested as follows: FC- 3 TC- 15 (was more red when i add drop #3, i guessed it to be 15 no number to look off of) CC- 12 ph- 7.5 cya- 20 ta- 90 baqucil- less than 15 (using the baqucil test strips. when i checked yesterday it was higher it seems to be going down...

i went back to the store and got my water tested: ph is 7.4 ta is 80 calcium hardness is 200 cya is 30 guy told me that the chlorine will not give him a reliable result because of the baquacil. hope that helps

thanks for the reply, but the pool store didn't give me any numbers all they told me was my FC was zero and my chlorine was 1ppm. they gave me test strips to test every 4 to 6 hours.
