Don't think maintaining shock is going to be a problem. Earlier I had turned it up to 50% and when I just tested FC was about 35, so I turned the SWG back down to 10%. Will check again tomorrow. Thanks. Howard

Actually the water looks pretty good. We've had a very cool Spring until last week so I might have dodged a bullet there. Biggest current water issue is all the pollen on top. Howard

OK...good news/bad news. First, pool store had seal ring for the pump, o ring for the union, waterproof lubricant for the rings,and a new trap strainer (broken pieces from old one were found in impeller). Out the door for $31 including tax and was happy to pay it. Got home and got to work on...

Update: I slid the pump motor as far to the left as possible. Can't get motor completely out of way, but can start to see inside. Stuck my fingers through gap between motor and pump and manipulated the impeller. I can't see it clearly but when I put my fingers inside that big yellow beast...
