So my chlorine reading this morning was very yellow, but nowhere near that frightening rust color reading I had two days ago. Given that it appears my chlorine level is still very high, when do you suggest I add more?

Update: Pool is completely clear with no algae. :party: :whoot: :party: :whoot: :cheers: There's overcast today so the pics I took are a little misleading and give the illusion of cloudiness so I'll try again later when the sun is shining. I haven't performed the dilution check yet...

Is there a way, or is it even necessary, to reduce my chlorine level? I figured I'd just allow it to evaporate on its own.

Wow, today is showing huge improvement. I can finally see the bottom of the pool, even in the deep end. See pics. I included a very odd color my pool tester produced when I measured the chlorine level. What the heck is going on?!?!?

I continue to backwash and vacuum daily. And I'm keeping my filter running 24x7. So what is the quickest way for me to measure my CYA? I would prefer to find a way quickly versus ordering a kit online and waiting 2-3 days.

Here are the morning pics. PH was a little high this morning so added muriatic acid. Chlorine remains at a shock level and didn't see any difference in the color reading. I was actually very happy with the progress over the past 10 hours.
