    Plumbing for SuperFlo 2” Pipe

If I push the pump back to have 11” of pipe, can I have more direct pipe on the pressure side? I didn’t see anything in the manual about minimum pipe on the pressure side.

    Plumbing for SuperFlo 2” Pipe

It looks like they want 10” of pipe leading into the pump. Well this pump inlet is lower than my old one, so I’m going to have to 90 it twice to drop it to the right height. Should I do a 90 down and then 90 towards the pump and go 10” from there to the suction inlet? That puts the pressure...

    Plumbing for SuperFlo 2” Pipe

Do I simply get a union and join their union with my existing pipe by cutting the end of pipe I’m holding?

    Plumbing for SuperFlo 2” Pipe

Okay, I’m missing something. It appears my SuperFlo has 1.5” inlets/outlets. My pipe is 2”. It came with a union kit 1.5” 351157. How do I use that, if at all, to connect this pump to my 2” pipe? Thanks!

    Breaker/wiring question - VS Pump

Can you link me to the appropriate wire? Having trouble finding it. Only need 15ft, but know I may have to get at least 25’. I believe this is the breaker: Siemens QF220A QF220 Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter, 20 Amp, 2 Pole, 120 Volt, 10,000 AIC, Color...

    Breaker/wiring question - VS Pump

I am replacing my single speed pump with a VS pump. I know I need to add a GFCI breaker, but my question is where is the best place to put it? Should I put it in the sub panel on the left or should I replace a breaker in the panel on the right, if it would even fit there? I don’t use the...

Next Steps - Post SLAM Balancing

What’s the best way to bring the pH and TA up?

Next Steps - Post SLAM Balancing

No, but maintained a low CYA last season and with a leaky pump/filter diverter gasket I’ve replaced water since last July/August. Plus I never brought it (CYA) up for the SLAM. I haven’t been around much the past couple of days so the FC was used up.

Next Steps - Post SLAM Balancing

I am coming off of a SLAM and will be doing an OCLT tonight. Assuming I pass that, what do you recommend I do based on the results below? I have already bumped up the FC - let that slip a couple of days  I plan to get half of the recommended CYA dissolving as well as adding the...

    New owner in SE

Welcome @Rose414! I was in a similar spot about this time 11 years ago and the folks here helped me get things started and in the right direction - they are great! You are already doing the right things and asking the right questions. Don’t be afraid to ask if you don’t understand something...

    Leaking filter in band joint

I switched from recirculate back to filter earlier today to see if it was still leaking and haven’t seen a drop yet in over 2 hours. Looks like I just jumped the gun a bit and it has settled in. Will keep the new o-ring when it comes as a backup, but not going to break it down if I don’t need...

    Leaking filter in band joint

Thanks! I just ordered another o-ring and the red lube. I got my current o-ring 3 years ago but since it’s been in the old tank, it may have shaped to it and won’t seal appropriately. Here’s hoping and praying!

    Leaking filter in band joint

I ordered a new lid for my DE filter because mine had a small crack in it. While it was on the way I decided to order a new tank/bottom, new cartridges, new band, new grids, and new gauge. Essentially all new pieces except the main o-ring. I ordered the lid from one place and the rest from...

    Insane Inflation

One of our Walmarts has the Pool Essentials brand with a 2022 007 date at $4.60/gal. A week ago they had at least 20 boxes with 6 gallons in each box on a pallet. This week, less than 15 gallons left. We’ve had more consistent warm weather here which is likely driving the demand at the moment...

YES! It’s a battle when new versions come out on whether to upgrade or wait for the next release. I’ve done good with not getting the Mavic 3 since I can borrow it from a friend ;)
