I always thought that the only time these type of spas are at higher temperature than the pool, is when the heater/controls is put into spa mode, which would divert all the heat flow to the spa, and if the heater is sized large enough, wouldn't take much longer then 20-30minutes. Just my two...

Here is a shot of the framing, I made each section individual, and tied them together creating a 2-ply beam between each section at which I put a 4x4 post and deck block on each end. I simply tied the main deck to these sections and used joist hangers (installed after, not seen in this pic)...

Here is the current progress of my deck build, it wasn't that bad to frame, just time consuming.

I ordered my liner, and told my neighbor, that wasn't the only cost associated with this, there is the cost of the water disposal, new water supply, chemical startup and water balancing, initial heating cost to bring it up to temp.
