Hayward H300 heater not igniting - 1F code (ignition failure)

It clicked. I took the valve apart and saw the connector had a spring broken off. I can send a pic to show you what I mean. One of the valves was opening but not the other. I ordered a new used valve. Will see on Thurs.

Hayward H300 heater not igniting - 1F code (ignition failure)

I just took the burner out and watched it get bright orange hot. Not an OHM test but will to that. Did not check burner tubes. I smell no propane at all which makes me think valve. My gas company is filling me up this week and will retry. It has 40 gallons in the tank now so I doubt filling it...

Hayward H300 heater not igniting - 1F code (ignition failure)

Hi all, So the heaters not firing. The fan kicks on, the ignitor glows red hot, the valve clicks and nothing comes out. I cleaned the orifices out, nothing was in them. Is it the valve not opening? I pulled the plug on top of the valve and the gas comes out. I then tried to bottom plug with...

    Aqua Pod- Hayward Remote

Hi all, Is anyone selling a first generation handheld remote? If so I'd love to but it. I replaced the battery in mine and unfortunately left it out in the rain, unsealed and it fried the LCD. It looks like they stopped making this handheld version which I love and find very convenient. Thanks...

    Thin Paver Overlay Remodel

Thanks for the feedback folks. I'm still shopping around and saving for the project. Most of the thin pavers seem to come out of Florida so shipping costs are hugs to Mass. I did find one out of New York called superthinpavers.com that was reasonable. I did add grit to the sealer but it is still...

Pool skimmer to clean house siding

Anyone know of a soft long bristle pool brush the can be used to scrub vinyl siding on a house? I'd like to make use of the long telescoping skimmer/vac pole but can't seem to a soft/long bristle scrub brush to fit to it. Thanks!

    Thin Paver Overlay Remodel

Anyone have any experience with the thin paver overlays? I have stamped concrete that is too slippery and has started failing on me too because of the freeze/thaw in Massachusetts complicated by the solid winter cover and water bags I used.

    Cover Inground Pool

I decided to leave it off this year. We'll see how that treats me. It looks better. Any concern with no cover?

    Cover Inground Pool

I do seal it every year with a nice acrylic one. I'm convinced that as the water bag freezes it pulls up on the tarp which is frozen to the concrete. Water expands as it freezes. I'm hoping the foam will provide enough flexibility to offset that effect.

    Cover Inground Pool

Do you think some foam like this between the cover and concrete would solve my problem? http://www.lowes.com/pd_377085-14510-75 ... facetInfo=

    Cover Inground Pool

So my cover keeps blowing into my 18*36 inground pool I had the water bags on last year but the freezing did damage to my stamped concrete finish. My guess is the when the water bags freeze they expand and since they are frozen to the concrete surface like a glue is pulls the concrete finish...

    Cracked Floor

Hi all, I have a crack on the deep end where the side meets the bottom of my 2 year old pool. PB has agreed to pull the liner an drepai rin the fall. It also appears there are smooth lumps/mogules going down one side of the decent into the deep end. They span about 12in in size. Anyway, the PB...

    Using Solar Attic pool heater

I have an 18*36 inground with 8' deep end. Cools the attic over a period of time but it really pulls the heat and puts it in the pool nicely. This Fall will be the true test. I'll get some pics and post later. I have the 3rd generation so the noise and vibration is not bad at all. the owner of...

What kind of winter pool cover would you recommend?

My tarp like cover with water bags wound up damaging the surface of my stamped concrete patio. I guess the freezing temps and water bags adhering to the surface caused the surface to chip away. Bummer! Anyone have any ideas towards this? Thanks

    Using Solar Attic pool heater

I just want to let everyone know I bought the Solar Attic and installed it myself. I have to say I am happy with the investment. Although it's been a warm Summer, I noticed it's ability to condition the water this Spring. I was able to heat my spillover hot tub yesterday to 99 degrees just with...

Need fan to kick on everytime solar kicks on

Mark, if I have power in my attic already would it make more sense to use a remote relay tied to my controller instead of running electric thru conduit from attic to controller?

Need fan to kick on everytime solar kicks on

I imagine putting a relay onto an existing outlet and running low voltage wires to the panel will not be too difficult to figure out. I am installing the entire system myself so why not do the electrical too. then I can kick back and take pride in my work instead of always having to pay someone...
