I would have no way of finding that out sadly. The yard people they used were a one time deal. Most people in this area use iron. My copper levels did not detect copper in the water. Neighbors think this may be something they used.

No kids at all. Just hubby and me. I think it is fertilizer. How do I treat it?

I do not have anything to fertilize. However, my cameras picked up my neighbors yard guy spraying and using some powder or similar to the tree right by my pool.

The stains are also on the deck.

I can try that when the chlorine levels come down.

Darn it. Puck did nothing. My pool was built in 1988 and has never been replastered. It is rust from the rebar. I’m so sad.

I will try the puck, some of the stains are on the side of the pool, the cal hypo would just slide right down.

I generally have my FC at 4, I super shocked and currently have it over 20 trying to scrub the stains to no avail. Are you saying to increase to 10-14 for the long term? No fertilizer in the area.

I will purchase a puck. I keep my pool CYA at 40 and my FC at 4. I brush often and nothing has made them even a bit lighter.

Thank you. I have tried Vitamin C, it did nothing. I will have to buy a chlorine tab or cal hypo, I only use liquid. It’s super chlorinated, I’ll have to wait until it is safe to enter. Is there another way to get those in there without getting in the pool?

Lowered CYA from 200 (yup 200) to 50. Pool looks much better and is clearing up. Brushed the heck out of it and will continue to do so. Vacuum as well. These stains aren’t budging. Would a shock be advised? 18,000 gallon plaster. PH. 7.2 FC. 5 CYA 60

I test the PH every day. Every 2 days I have to add acid as well. Todays numbers are: FC 5 CC 0 PH 7.2 TA 50 CH 375 CYA 40 Vonda

Jason, So far so good. My PH is at 7.0 and I've been brushing several times a day. When the PH rises again to I have to add 3 more bottles of sequesterant and lower the PH? Thanks for your help, Vonda

After draining over 50% of the water my CH is at 375. I really expexted it to go down to 325. I also added the MA before I added the Blue Stuff (about an hour before). I sure hope I didn't screw it up by adding the MA first. Vonda

Thanks Jason, I added the kit to my order. The pool guy was using a brush on the walls of the pool when he acid washed. He left the brush on the step for a bit and the stain was left. My friend said that it was a regular type pool brush with nothing on it. Hopefully, this kit will ID it. Vonda
