    help!

Chlorination + Filtration = clear water. My recomendation is never to add any of the expensive algacides. Save your money and use chlorine, stabilizer (enough to protect your chlorine from UV destruction), Bicarb and if necessary Calcium. This with proper circulation(meaning ALL of the water...

    Chlorine smell after using blanket

When combined chlorine is formed it will eventually off gas into the atmosphere, which is the chlorine smell. Whe you have a cover on the pool, it is preventing, or slowing down the provess. By achieving Breakpoint chlorination will speed up the process of the offgas.

black spots in pool...not algea or metals

The problem, is because you have what they call "copper fallout" this is because of levels copper ions in the water, eirther by an algacide(yucky), a gas heater, or the source water you are adding. This problem can be solved by addidng Jacks Magic Blue Stuff. 1 quart per 10,000 gallons...

    Chlorine/CYA Chart comments

Split off of Chlorine/CYA Chart. JasonLion Im not sure the relavence of this chart. the key is to protect the chlorine that you put into the pool. 10 ppm of cyanuaric acid will protect 1.5 ppm of chlorine from the UV destruction of the Chlorine Molecule. The 1/2 life of Chlorine when...
