    Up North here we are still baking, had some toasty temps in the high 80's... threw my cover on as the past few nights were supposed to be dropping down a bit... left it on as I was late to go yesterday morning..pool got up to 88 yesterday ...Yippeee Bath time today!!!! :whoot:

    Well after finding this site and getting my pool into the clearest sparkling water I have ever seen...I forgot to bookmark the site :oops: ...Almost a year later, found it again and water is still spakly clean! Site has been bookmarked ...looking forward to many enjoyable posts! :cheers:

    Can't Get Wood Chips to Smoke

    You can soak the chips but what I do is mix 1 part soaked chips with 1 part dry chips. Wrap in foil, poke holes in top and directly over the flame. I have also used a small metal baking pan or loaf pan and covered with foil as well.... a little more sturdy and reuseable.

    Thanks for the quick response Richard ... CYA levels should be good as the water was a little low and when I topped it off I added a sock full of stabilizer into my skimmer .. I'll get it tested again today and see if I can order one of those kits. Would ading a box or two of Borax hurt at this...
