    Help with identifying heater assembly

Figured it out. It’s a 6500-412… unfortunately right behind the circuit panel and with no shutoff valves in the pvc. So looking like a full drain before replacing. Ah well, should only be a $200 repair.

    Help with identifying heater assembly

Yes I think it is titanium (OEM). I don’t suppose it’s easy to confirm a replacement will fit online? Or do I need to remove the existing assembly and post a pic?

    Help with identifying heater assembly

I have a 2017 Sundance Chelsee (780 series) wired for 240v/60a. My GFCI started tripping which I narrowed down the heater (doesn’t trip once I disconnect the heater). It’s a 5year old hot tub, so I’m planning to just replace the whole assembly. But I am looking to confirm the exact replacement...

    Finally replacing filter, advice needed

I think all 4 is around $200, assuming a generic brand. I haven't noticed any difference maintaining the water with the new equipment. With a SWG and TFP recommendations, it's really low maintenance.

    Finally replacing filter, advice needed

No complaints so far. I opened my pool late since it took me some time to complete the install, so it was a green swamp full of pollen. Opened on a Saturday with a SLAM and it was swimmable on Friday after running the pump constantly w/ a skimmer sock. I was worried about junking up the...

    Thoughts on plumbing install?

Got it. Didn’t have room for separate valves. I’ll probably buy another 3way and leave the main drain partially closed. Should produce the same differential

    Thoughts on plumbing install?

Thanks - Do the Jandy valves let you impact the suction on multiple inputs? The other one I have going to the filter just lets me turn off one of the outputs (or vary flow for two of the right-angle ports). If so, can you point me towards one? If that description isn't clear, this is how the...

    Thoughts on plumbing install?

Hi there, With the help of this forum I upgraded my pump and filter this season (Hayward Tristar VSP and 400sqft Cartridge Filter). The plumbing right now is dry fit and I wanted to check to see if there were any issues that should be corrected before gluing. A few notes All original plumbing...

    Finally replacing filter, advice needed

Nice. The filter is finally coming next week for me. How’s your system working for you?

    Finally replacing filter, advice needed

I didn't. I went with the Hayward Tristar Pump and Hayward 425 sqft filter. Rationalization was that the Doheny brand is really just a rebranded chinese knockoff and it'd be easier to find parts/support for the Hayward product down the road.

    Optimal pump/filter option

only because I think the 2” upgrade would let me run the VSP at an even lower RPM for a given flow rate

    Optimal pump/filter option

thanks, I believe the Tristar and swim clear filter is 2” only. I don’t quite understand how there can’t be a difference in flow rates. If my system has 1.5” throughout, the max flow rate is limited by the single 1.5” pipe to my pump and then through my filter. Wouldn’t each individual 1.5” pipe...

    Optimal pump/filter option

22k vinyl pool, in-line SWG, 1.5” plumbing, located in MA and replacing my 3/4 single speed pump and sand filter filter this spring. I have a main drain and skimmer with two return jets. No heater. I’ve narrowed down my pump/filter options to 2 and am looking to optimize. Budget difference is...

    Finally replacing filter, advice needed

thanks. There’s a big price jump above 200 sq ft. Cheapest 200sqft i found is 350 and it jumps to 800 for a quad 425. do you think a 425 is really worth that for me? The 200 has a 96k turnover in 8 hrs, which I understand means less when you’re sizing for less frequent maintenance, but any idea...

    Finally replacing filter, advice needed

hi all, I live in MA and have a 22k vinyl pool with SWG. Currently have a 25 year old 2” sand filter with 3/4 hp single speed pump. 1.5” fittings. Valve broke on the filter so I’m using that as an excuse to upgrade the pump and filter. I’m looking at a variable speed pump, likely doheny’s...

    Is my PH logic correct

Yeah I can see how that would’ve been helpful the first one around. its marketed as New England Spas “silky smooth”.

    Is my PH logic correct

Perfect thanks. My TA is about at 70 now so I’ll probably try to drive it to 60 over time. I tested again for borates and am a little low. My spa dealer gave me a product called “silky smooth” which allegedly “locks in ph” but I’m not clear what it actually is as there are no chemicals listed...

    Is my PH logic correct

Hi there, I have a 400 gal Sundance Chelsea SWG. I'm pretty good with chemicals but am experiencing a very frequent need to add MA to lower PH. Between uses, the PH consistently creeps up to 7.8-8.0. Am I correct in thinking that I should lower my TA to around 60 to slow the PH increasing? I've...
