How to remove old setting from IntelliFlo

By the way - You can change the speed setting that is running by using the arrow bottons to set the speed. Then press "enter" to store the speed. You don't have to go through the menu settings this way. It's pretty convenient.

How to remove old setting from IntelliFlo

I just got an intelliflo and so far I love. There are 8 speed settings available. Speeds 1-4 can be set by the buttons. Speeds 5-8 can only be used for schedules. Each can be set to manual, egg timer or schedule. Go through each of the 8 speeds and looks for ones that are set to...

Chlorine Tabs got wet- safe to still use? how to store?

Definitely keep pool chemicals away from metal!! I used to store my pool chemicals in a pool closet that had metal door knobs and hinges. The knobs and hinges rusted away. I ended up replacing the entire door and frame with a nice (& expensive) fiberglass door. I have since moved the...

Two pumps with check valve in between ok?

Here is the new set up. Note that pool return AA is now used. Another bonus with this setup is the spa does not drain to the pool level when the pumps turn off. Pool pool Main Drain -->3way---3way-----Pump---Filter --solar-->---swg-------| pool skimm...

Two pumps with check valve in between ok?

Had the install last Friday!! The PB came up with a way that pleased him and allowed my air switch to control the spa pump and blower. It turned out that one of his major problems with my old setup was how ugly it was. There were too many valves and pipes cris-crossing and 1 1/5 in pipe and...

    Spa Blower shuts down

I talked with the Silencer (airsupplyflorida.com) folks and they were very helpful. It was easy to get a hold of a technical rep. He even gave me his cell phone. carolina pool - you were right The airsupply guy said my pump is pushing water into the air line which is causing too much back...

    Spa Blower shuts down

The breaker does not trip on it's own. I have to manually flip the breaker on/off to get the blower to come back. I am going to talk to airsupply and will report what they think the issue could be.

    Spa Blower shuts down

Thanks for the reply. The autoshutoff is definitely kicking in. The bubbles last about 3 minutes until it shuts off. I then have to reset the breaker and wait about a 1/2 hour or more.

    Spa Blower shuts down

Ever since I bought the house about 10 yers ago the blower would shut off after some period of time (10 minutes to 1/2 hour). I never tried to fix it until now. The old blower fried so I got a new one - same make and size (240v,2hp). I thought the shut off issue would go away. It didn't...

Two pumps with check valve in between ok?

Ok I made some measurements today. The variables will be the two pumps on/off and the positions of the 3way between the pool/spa return. The psi readings are at the filter. Pool pump only with 3way 75%pool/25% spa (normal operating position): 15-17psi - varies as pop-ups (caretaker 99) cycle...

Two pumps with check valve in between ok?

To the last poster: Agreed - if the valve is in the wrong postion then the pool pump could dead head when the spa is turned on. To avoid this the 3way between the pool and spa will have a physical stop so there will always be some flow to the pool.

Two pumps with check valve in between ok?

I talked to my PB today and he just does not like the check valve between the two pumps. I still don't understand the big concern. He says the pressure will be too great if both pumps are on and "the check valve will do nothing". I am going to test my current setup with the two single speed...

Two pumps with check valve in between ok?

Here is a more detailed description of the different mode: Pool Pump Only: The spa drain before the pool pump allows circulation of the bottom of the spa when only the pool pump is on. Pool pump only mode is about 99% of the time. This 3 way is set to a drain a small amount from the spa. It...

Two pumps with check valve in between ok?

I just checked pentair's website and their check valve seals with a 1/2 psi. Assuming this is what my check valve could do couldn't we safely assume the spa pump would have more that a 1/2 psi over the pool pump. I'm not sure if my terminology is correct but it sure seems intuiitive that the...

Two pumps with check valve in between ok?

I agree that this is a remore possibility - The pool pump water goes through the filter and (I didn't mention this to keep the diagram simple) through solar panels. So the flow from the pool pump should be much less than the flow directly out of the spa pump at the check valve. Correct?

Two pumps with check valve in between ok?

Thanks for the lightning fast replies!! My install is two days away (Friday and it is Wednesday) so this information is invaluable. I agree that there is danger if the 3 way was turned the wrong way then the pool pump would dead head. However, I always set it so most of the water flows into...

Two pumps with check valve in between ok?

I am redoing my 20yr old hayward pump system with pentair intelliflo VS, intellichlor & a clean & clear 150. I have two pumps ( pool & spa) with a spa spillover. I want to keep the current single speed spa pump. This is a simplified version of my plumbing setup: Pool Pump---Filter -->-|...
