Is there anything I can add to muddy clay to firm it up?

Get the bag in powder form. I used on the floor of my pool while I was building it. It works great.

Are the steps cracked? If not they should clean up. Replacing the steps would be a task and also costly.

    At crossroads...need quick help!

I checked with my pool wall manufacturer before I backfilled. He stated that with a good bond beam and the braces they supply i was good to go with backfill before we put water in the pool. I used pea-gravel for backfill and had no problems with the walls bowing. Does it look like your walls...

Rectangular pool. Corner styles and liner install

I just did a DIY and used the 2' radius. It was very easy to install the liner and no problems with the liner coming out. A buddy had the square corners put in and the pool builder had problems keeping the liner in the track.

    Vermiculite time!!

Make sure you use a paddle mixer, keep your batches consistent, put alot of string lines in the bottom marking your finished height of the krete and don't work it to much. You can go back the next day and shave off high spots or fill in low spots. Try to have fun, Dan

    DIY 18x36 Vinyl Liner

The depth is 54" . I didn't put in main drains because of the shallow depth, didn't want people stubbing toes or walking on them. Also just a personal choice on it. There are pros/cons to them. I went with the 2' radius corners because I was told it was easier to set the liner/keep it in...

I have to take some more of the finished product. I finished the fence the other day. If anybody would like detailed pics of a certain part let me know. Thanks to all the help and info on this site the build went great except the heat we had to deal with, that was by far the worst.
