IntellifloXF with an Aqualink RS - Answers

Hi everyone. Since no one, including Jandy, could tell me if the final firmware (R) on the Aqualink RS is compatible with the (new-ish) intellifloXF pump, I decided to try it. The good news - yes, it works just fine, in fact even better that my old SVRS unit. You can address the speed directly...

    Communications on Aqualink System wonky

This is strange to describe, so bear with with me. About 4 months ago, something happened to my RS12 system, such that the second power center stopped communicating with the main power center. I cycled the power, checked connections, and it's back up and both power centers appear to be...

anyone using liquid chlorine check their salt levels recentl

Would you expect 2200ppm salt level after 1.5 years of liquid chlorine with the pool maintained 12 months/year in hot texas? I was a bit taken aback this evening when I checked it for the first time. Should I be thinking about changing out the water?

    Fountain heads/nozzles?

I've been looking everywhere for more interesting fountain nozzles fort he kids. My PB put in three fountains, that are essentially a screw-in PVC pipe with a regular 1.5" return eyeball on the end. I was thinking there would be all sorts of nozzles one could screw in, but the the life of me I...

    iAqualink and RS12?

Did the conversion tonight, and now my RS12 rev. Q thinks it's an RS8. I suspect the firmware/cpu board I got is not for the RS12 (is says RS generic). Anyone know the skinny?

Our oak tree said "Happy Pool anniversary" with pollen

I took the cover off yesterday and the water was dark murky green (blue pebble), and there was a layer of yellow silt on the steps. Thanks tree.....thanks. I also noticed that the DE filter was ready for cleaning, so I cleaned it out. Yellow mustard-like substance (DE and pollen) oozed out...

Yeah.....it's bad to put chemical pumps close to acid tanks

I used the standard stenner grey tank with the integrated pump mount. Acid vs. Pump 1:0. In the spring I'll remotely locate the pumps from the chemical tanks. lesson learned.

Any reason TF100 (K1000) PH would be off?

Had my pool water tested by our local pool store, along side a couple strip tests because I suspected the PH level shown by my TF100 kit was off (I'm adding a lot of Alkalinity increaser each week). TF100 (K1000) shows around 7.3, the store and strips measured 6.8 consistently (3 measurements...

    Repairing a 3/8" line tap in a 2"

I had to move one of the line taps I installed for my LQ (and now chemlink) setup. How do I cover up a 3/8" hole in a 2" line? Right now I am using a strip of rubber and a hose clamp. Is there something made to repair this, or do I need to splice in a 2" coupling?

OSD Rock Speakers - just got em hooked up today

I bought 3 OSD (outdoor speaker depot) speakers to add to 2 outdoor B&W WM6 speakers. Two RS820OM 360 degree units One RS850 The RS850 is pretty good. Nice bass extension, reasonable highs, pretty linear. About as good as a $200 pair of your average entry point monitors. The RS820OMs are...

    Chemlink C1900 installed DIY...noob story

I got my C1900 online today. Ph read as nearly 9...I thought, that's got to be wrong, my ColorQ Pro7 test kit says it's 7.3 (been there for weeks). Gotta be a bum sensor - I expected to calibrate it, but not that much. So I tried a test kit my PB gave me. Color matching test..I hate them, I...

    ColorQ...sad faces

Man, I'm really bummed. I've been using a ColorQ Pro 7 for a few months as I put my new pool online and just found out today that it's giving me bogus readings. They may be consistent, but they are waaaaaay off. It says my PH is 7.3, it's really 8.4 (ouch) It says my FC is 1, it's really 3.2...

8 Gallon Liquidator with 3/8" upgrade in Austin

If you're in Austin this is a great deal. $100 for an 8 gallon LQ with the 3/8" upgrade. You will need new clamps and 3/8" line (mine has already been cut). PM me, thanks.

Where to buy bleach in austin

I've been getting Clorox from costco for $9, 3x190oz containers. Does anyone know of a better source? (probably does not belong in this particular forum)

    Choosing the right injection pump

I've decided to start putting together a backup plan for the LQ in case I can't get enough chlorine into the pool with it. Right now it's running wide open with a 3/8" line and I'm holding 1ppm steady in a 40K gallon pool. I want the option to eventually use a chemical controller for PH (and...

Good results with ColorSplash 3g spa bulbs

I put these in a few days ago. Basically a direct replacement for a standard candescent spa bulb in 12v and 120v versions. You control the programming via on/off switching. They work much better than I expected. For the price and post-build situation, I am pretty pleased.

Got my liquidator up - question

No results yet - but it's flowing (3 on the flow meter with the 3/8" mods) at the pump speed I want to run at (about 25-30GPM). I have a silly question, and perhaps its the celebration beer clouding my mind.... How do you fill this thing up? I understand there are visible signs when it runs...

    Chlorination Issue in new pool

Everything is up an running now - but we're finding that the puck based chlorinator (rainbow 320) is not working at low flow rates <40GPM. The chamber is not getting flooded, and it seems to be letting air in the system. Any thoughts on a better solution? (It's not likely I am going to convince...

    Accessing Aqualink RS12 aux JVAs

On the touch and onetouch I only see a way to assign the 4 primary JVAs (cleaner, solar, return, suction). There are 4 aux jva connectors on the RS12's expansion board that i need to use but don't see on my touch - any thoughts? I do see the expansion board's aux power relays. tia
