    Circupool "Vector Jet"

Is there any point to the Circupool "Vector Jet?" I have it installed in my pool, but i am not crazy about it, as it throws off the water circulation which used to spin the water around to the skimmer.

CYA in skimmer / Circupool SWG

Pool School says to put CYA in a sock and then put the sock in the skimmer to dissolve. I did this and later realized in the owner's manual for my Circupool RJ45 it specifically says "DO NOT" add chemicals via skimmer (emphasis theirs). In addition, i noticed a couple times while the CYA was...

Pump makes noise on Hi when SWG is on, and Lo is off

TFP Team: I have a strange issue i need help with. I recently did a self-install of a Circupool RJ45. I wired it into the low side of my Intermatic timer. Now when i run my pump on Hi, and the low switch on the timer box is off, the pump makes a strange noise. The noise doesn't occur if i...

    Uprights for Circupool cell install

TFP Team: I completed the install of my circupool rj45. Everything looks good, but i realized after i had finished that i didn't follow the directions exactly. In the following picture from the manual, it shows the cell barrel unions should run into at least a six inch length of straight...

    Installation Advice

TFP Team: I recently purchased a CircuPool RJ45. I am going to try installing it myself. I have a concern in that it's recommended to install the cell horizontally, but my return plumbing doesn't lend itself to that. I have linked a couple pics of my return and suction plumbing. I would...

    Need help understanding parts needed

TFP: I am interested in getting a SWG this year. I am currently considering either the CPSC36 or CPSC48. If I buy the kit as listed here: CPSC36 is there anything else i need to buy to complete the install? Ignoring any pipe and/or wire to connect it into the system. Not sure i should...

    CPSC36 or CPSC48

TFP: Would you guys recommend I get the CPSC36 or CPSC48 for a 20k gal pool? It seems most here recommend upsizing their cell, but the cost difference could pay for the installation of the CPSC36. Thanks in advance.

SWG equivalent of POOLVERGNUEGEN "The Pool Cleaner"

I had a great first year with BBB. Thanks so much TFP. Never had to even shock, much less any algae breakouts to deal with. However, I have lugged around and disposed of more bottles of 182oz bleach than I ever care to do again. In addition, the price of WalMart Great Value bleach recently...

    Optimal TA level

TFP Team: My TA is currently 110, which i understand is a bit high. I have been hoping it would come down a bit, but rains and the subsequent draining to get back to the proper water level for the skimmer to work properly hasn't effected that number. That said, my pH has been rock solid for a...

    Leaving Poolvergnuegen in pool

TFP Team: Is it generally considered a bad practice to leave a Poolvergnuegen cleaner in the pool for days at a time? I assume doing so could shorten its lifespan, but no idea if that's the case. Just looking for feedback. It is nice to just have it in the pool throughout a rainy and/or...

    Taylor SampleSizer

TFP Team: I recently purchased the Taylor SampleSizer. This thing rocks and is the perfect compliment to the Taylor Speedstir since the speedstir comes with the 9198 tube. Taylor SampleSizer Saves testing time and aggravation.

What to do when CC count of .5 registers?

TFP Team: What do you guys generally do when you discover a CC level of .5? Do you ignore it until it goes higher? What if it persists for more than one day? My CC reading has been .5 last couple days. Pool School says to shock if it gets any higher. Just curious if getting the reading...

    Spring pH changes

Has anyone in the South seen their pH levels drop substantially (7.5 to 7.0 in a couple days) around this time of year? I have seen a lot of pollen floating on the top of the pool, and am curious if that has anything to do with it. PH hasn't been an issue in my pool so far, so i was surprised...

    What would you do?

I have a little bit of an issue, want to get guidance from the experts. Last Saturday, i added about 20-30 ppm solid CYA to my pool (i say 20-30 because it was too low to register on my k-2006, but there was some cloudiness to the water, i couldn't see the dot if i filled the tester to the very...

    TA Level Question

What does it mean when it says the ideal TA level is 70-90+? Does that mean any value over 90 is ok? I don't see that on any of the other values.

Good Starting Point for Filtering Schedule

I have a two speed pump, and a timer that is wired to control both the low and high speed separately. That said, i am not really sure of a good starting point for a filtering schedule. For example, should i run noon-4 pm on high speed, and then midnight to 8 am on low? I really have no idea...

    POOLVERGNUEGEN two wheel suction cleaner

I have the pool cleaner two wheel suction. I am very disappointed in the performance of this cleaner, as it seems to stay in the deep end of my pool at least 90 percent of the time. The pool is rectangular 16x32. There is a 3 1/2 foot shallow end which goes down to 8 ft deep. I know the...

Filter Dirt flowing back into Pool

Our PB just filled our pool. The pool was filled from the hydrant so the water was pretty cloudy at first. Let the pump run all night and the water was clear the next day. Last night, i ran the pump at low speed. This morning, i turned the pump off, could hear the water draining in the...

    Inline Leaf Canisters

Anyone have any recommendation on inline leaf canisters? Most of the big vendors have a standard and premium offering. Usually the standard have a plastic collector like a skimmer, and the premium ones have a filter "sock." I would primarily be looking to use this with a suction side...

    POOLVERGNUEGEN Pressure/Suction 2in1

Please review plumbing layout so far.

Please review this plumbing layout. One thing that has been bugging me is the extra 90 degree elbow going into the filter. Is this anything to even pay any thought to, or should I ask the PB to move the filter over to eliminate the second elbow? Any other feedback welcome.

    Electrical Not Included
