Hi, hardness would be calcium, and I had these done at a pool store today. testing my water before I added bleach as I had it tested the day before and was told there was no FC showing. And then also after I added the bleach.Is done by a computer read out.

Ok thanks I have added about 6L of ultra bleach and I am sitting good at 2.4ppm for FC but now my alkalinity is at 0ppm. Do I add some baking soda and how much ? also is all baking soda the same? as in doesnt have to be the A&H does it?

Im thinking of making my own as well, just have to find any type of material that is a close knit and will still allow water to flow thru freely. Thinking of going to the material store to have a look. Would be very easy to make for sure.

I found some information on these bags online but unfortunately they are NOT sold in Canada only the USA so I will have to order one off ebay to have for next year I guess. For now I have tied a nylon to my inside jet which is catching some of the debris the intex filter is not catching.
