Great idea! We live in a highly wooded area and are constantly dealing with debris. We trimmed our overhanging trees and this helped considerably. Would your neighbor allow you to trim the branches off that hang into your yard?

Squirrels chewing your house can drive you crazy, too!!

They are eating our house ... every other month the pest control company comes out and uses that dust where they are, but they always seem to return and eat a different part of our house!

Re: latest deerfly control research What an excellent idea! We live in the middle of 5 wooded acres and our neighbors have horses .... so, we get LOTS of horse flies. I never thought to go to the feed store for something like this!

We live in the woods, so our steps always need brushing, too! Must just be one of those "perks" of being a pool owner!

I use Firefox ... no problems at all. I have my browser set to remove cookies everytime I close Firefox.

One of our neighbors had a HUGE party last year ... 200 plus adults drinking all day and all night. They asked if they could use our pool if it got too hot ... told them no way ... don't want the liability, plus didn't want the party to end up at our house instead of theirs! The same neighbors...

I remember reading somewhere that there is a product that can be used in DE filters in place of DE ... but I didn't save the link! Has anyone used anything other than DE in their DE filters?

It was me who posted that I have a softner and high alk ... we are also on well.

Just out of curiosity, how do you measure the salt ppm in your water? Are you using the salt that is used for water softeners? How much do you add? This sounds great ... I'd like to give it a try this year!

I, too, am very glad that you have started this forum. We are going into our third pool season and learned an awful lot from the other forum, but were very disappointed that we were unable to register and ask questions. I look forward to this season and access to knowledgeable people!! Thanks!!
