Although the pool is clear and pumping well; I noticed a continual dribble from the valve on top of the large DE filter. The pressure reads about 19 (start-up was 15) so I don't think I have a pressure problem (I hope). Am I missing something? Should I be concerned? Any thoughts?

Re: testing the water when testing your chlorine how long do you wait before you read the results? When I read it immediately after, i get a low reading. If I wait a few minutes (maybe 5), it's much higher. The longer I wait the darker the tube gets!!

Since it is kidney shaped and long; I would shorten it by about 10 feet and reduce the deep end to no more than 6ft. It's now 9ft. My guess is it's probably as expensive as putting in a new one.

The other good thing is if it doesn't do the job Costco will always take it back. They are very good that way. Good Luck

The pool was built in the 60's but is in good shape. It is a Wagner pool which I am told is a top of the line in-ground pool. I am not impressed!

I just got an online ad from costco offering a Aquabot turbo "C" at a pretty good price, I think! Does anyone know this specific product? I see many Aquabot products but the "C" seems to be unique. Thanks to all.

I have used clarifier before with no problems. It did a great job of dropping any real tiny particles to the floor quickly; making it easy for a quick vacuum. My question still is, does it "gunk up" the DE filter? The clarifies has no such warnings! Thanks for everyone's help. Priceless!!!

Still battling my large cloudy pool! The pool store "professional" said NEVER use clarifier in a pool with a DE filter, it gunks up the filter. Is this true?

I read somewhere that the pool CYA might not really be at zero; even though even though it indicates zero. Concern?

Like others when testing for CYA the black dot never disappears! What is the concern over the test results not actually being zero? I don't understand.

I am thinking of buying a pool cleaning machine and would like some advice from experienced users ie brand and model. My pool is large 50k gallons in ground cement. Kidney shaped and 9ft deep at one end. Any advice would be appreciated.
