We are good with extra cost. Do plumbers usually split the 2" pipe at the pool and use 1.5" pipes to get to the returns?

I have been reading that 2" PVC Schedule 40 pipes are a good option to use to plumb the returns. I have 3 returns, a skimmer, a pressure side cleaner, 2 LED bubblers and 4 deck jets. They will be working off a Pentair 3 HP VST 2 pump. What do you all think of this... Returns - the plumber...
