    First tests w/ the K-2006

Journaling here. Due to inventory on hand added; 22oz of baking soda 24oz of CYA topped off bleach to make sure I don't lose shock level when CYA goes up.

    First tests w/ the K-2006

Got my R-871 refills today, seems the storm has done a number on the chemistry as expected. FC: 10.5 CC: .5 PH: 7.0 (maybe lower) TA: 40 CYA: 10 7000g pool. Pool calc has me adding 53oz of baking soda to raise TA from 40 to 80, will do that which should bring the PH to a safer level...

    First tests w/ the K-2006

Been maintaining shock levels (as best as I can, waiting for more R-871 to show). Guessing tonite's SIX AND A HALF inches of rain are going to set me back a bit. Pool and patio became one, ugh.

Ouch. Starting to get the "why don't we just go to the pool store" comments from the wife, I'm sure a few of us have had this "discussion". Thanks again, -Jason

    First tests w/ the K-2006

    Just to update, pool is still a cloudy light green. Last night: FC= 20.5 CC= 1 PH= 7.2 TA= 90 CYA= 45 This morning FC= 17.5 CC= 1 PH= 7.2 TA= 90 Pool calculator has me at a Shock Level of 16. I've been at/above verified shock level for days now. Just keep at it?

8:00 am Water still cloudy but markedly less green this am. FC: 15 CC: 1 PH: 7.5 TA: 80 Plan is to clean cartridges and add approx 30 oz stabilizer to bring CYA to 30 per Calculator. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Fountains still dribbling when turned off

Anyone able to identify which type of valve this is based on this photo? My best guess is http://www.hayward-pool.com/prd/In-Ground-White-Goods-PSV-Diverter-Valves-Econoline-Ball-Valve_10201_10057_1014011_-1_400271_400196_I.htm Thanks again.

D*** IT. Dumping stuff in the pool makes me think I'm accomplishing things. I knew that was coming and I deserved it, thanks :)

    First tests w/ the K-2006

Added 16oz of cal-hypo (have it laying around, and figured I could use some CYA) Added 16oz of baking soda per calculator to bring up PH and TA into spec.

Direct links: Test: http://s7.postimage.org/iqxqsr249/IMG_1889.jpg Pool: http://s15.postimage.org/wlntfw489/IMG_1887.jpg I think the CH could be higher if I'm doing this test remotely right. Thanks again for looking :D

Waiting for the sun to get lower before I put the bleach in to give it the best fighting chance. Just re-ran CH using the titrate method to combat the vanishing endpoint. Still looking purplish, and it separates into specks. I saw reference to this in another thread but it was never...

    First tests w/ the K-2006

Hey everybody, hopefully I haven't messed things up terribly bad but here's where I'm at. 7000 G Fiberglass SWG pool. Opened it w/ horribly dark green water, went through 12 1-lb bags of cal-hypo, then some bleach. Then I decided to get a bit more systematic, that brings me to now. I've got...

Fountains still dribbling when turned off

Actuator seems to be lined up correctly, no change there. Looks like i'm going to have to take it apart and check the o-ring. I'll take some photos and hopefully someone can help me identify what type I've got/need. Thanks again!

Fountains still dribbling when turned off

Hey all, I've got 4 fountains (deck jets) and the first in the series is dribbling constantly when they're turned off. This is causing me to lose water and more importantly it's backing up on to my patio so not a good thing. They're controlled by a 2-way Hayward PSA24 actuator connected to I...

    Low pressure assistance

Hey all, thanks so much to all who replied. After a month of troubleshooting (and 4 days on the forum) I was finally able to remedy the situation. Turns out the company that opened my pool installed 2 of the spa jets incorrectly. There are 2 big plastic washers, one goes in the back of the...

    Low pressure assistance

Ok, just discovered something significant (maybe?) that hopefully will mean something to you guys who know this stuff :D. With the pump off, i blew air into port V (spa photo) and air is bubbling out of all jets. I left the vac blowing and turned on the pump, and air stops coming out of the...

    Low pressure assistance

I think I need to refocus my attention to the plumbing at the spa. I've blown the suction lines out from the pump side, and taken the pump apart, no obstructions. I'm still pushing 26psi to the spa in "spa mode" and only getting bubbles in the couple jets specified. The other jets dont feel...

    Low pressure assistance

The pool is approximately 5 years old and if I recall correctly, this problem only recently surfaced since opening this year. My motor is making some squealing noises as well (I believe its the bearing squealing). The plumbing is all 2", I had all the jets out today but didn't measure, will do...

    Low pressure assistance

Thanks Jason for the reply. I'm unsure of starting pressure (sorry). I soaked the 4 cartridges in TSP+water solution for 5 hours today, which improved pressure, but not quite there yet. V-2 controls return to Pool/Spa/Off. I have it set for about 90% pool, 10% spa for spillover. Jets #2...

    Low pressure assistance

Hello all, Been lurking for some time but finally I must post! I've got a small fiberglass pool with an attached spa. I'm not 100% how the spa is plumbed, but there are 6 jets, with "air port" on the deck which you can open to induce air. I'm getting very low pressure from these jets, to the...
