Looking for a go - no go on this run capacitor

It is the Intex 2650gph pump. I have come to the determination the winding is toast. The capacitor is doing its job, but the motor is smoked. Anybody have any insight on this pump Amazon.com : Blue Wave NE6171B Maxi Replacement Pump for Above Ground Pools, 1.5 HP : Swimming Pool Water Pumps ...

Looking for a go - no go on this run capacitor

OK, Update time. I just got the new cap in today, and I installed it on the motor. Got everything put back together and it is doing the same thing. Hella loud hum and wont spin. I checked the shaft was free again, and it is fine so I am out of ideas. Any help? My water is steadily heading south

Looking for a go - no go on this run capacitor

Identical 35uF 250vAC 50/60 hz. The dimensions seem right as well, so it should be fine. Just a little skittish because I am no electrician.

Looking for a go - no go on this run capacitor

Hey all, Well after replacing the shaft bearings on my sand pump a few weeks ago, it started getting crappy loud again (but different sound) until it shut off on me today 30 mins into a cycle. After popping the cover off again and checking shaft is freely rotating (it is) I tried to start it...

Trouble finding Intex SF20110 pump anywhere.

I let the motor sit for a few hours, and it did start up again, so I don't think I am completely boned. Gonna do a bearing swap this weekend, so hopefully it will be good to go. Luckily I have a brand new 1600 GPH cartrige pump that came withthe pool to get me by.

Trouble finding Intex SF20110 pump anywhere.

Yeah, thanks for that. 1st place I checked, and no info on replacement pump only. Now, an update. After leaving it sit for a bit, I hit the switch and I get a loud hum with no movement. I can spin the impeller by hand, so it's not bearings. Is the consensus the motor is smoked? Or might there...

Trouble finding Intex SF20110 pump anywhere.

Well, bone head move on my part has caused a disaster it would seem, but now I need some help. When I tore down my old pool 2 years ago, the dog got hold of the power cord for my pump and chewed it off halfway. Well we now got another pool and I ended up wiring in a new cord to the pump to get...

Looks like I won my first algae battle

Great site you have here. I started this fight on Saturday and the final photo is Thursday evening. I did just get in a 2650gph sand filter so this helped out a bunch. My levels are good now and I think we are done. Thanks to this site and all the folks who...

    Full time pumping - Intex

If it is the small one piece pump it is the 1000 gph. That pump is no where near big enough for these pools. I had to buy one after market. My water was on the edge of green and had more floaties than a fish tank with the 100gph pump. This is the 2500 gph The only other way would be to get a...

    Full time pumping - Intex

What size pumps are you using? I have a 2500gph that I run only 6 hours a day. 5 a.m. to 8 and 5 p.m. to 8. Our water is so clear you can see the sand dunes on the bottom. We are in a bit of a high wind drought and I have to live with it.

    BIRDS!!

You could always get one of the more powerful AirSoft rifles. They should be deadly to the bird, but not so much for the golfers. And if you are a green freak, the havi biodegadable bb's. And yes, if you drop one or two and leave them lay in the yard for a day or two you will have no more...

    Rusted Intex Frame

Hello all, I have been concerned with my rust out problem also. My pool will be 1 yr old in June. I have been using the BBB method. How many more are going bad like this I wonder? I know INTEX will do nothing this late in the game, but it would be nice if they...

    Intex pump disassembly

Thanks for the info. I will keep the site info. But I dont think it is quite the same capacitor even though the voltages are similar. The one in the Intex pump has 4 tangs and uses 3 Bad angle in the photo but you can see the 3 wires. The stock photo from the site shows 2 tangs. Might still...

    Intex pump disassembly

I ran across those on the net before I headed out to look for one. Problem with these sites is they seem to all have minimum orders of 100 to 1000 pcs. I didnt dig any farther than about 5 sites. Maybe I should buy a 100 or so and sell em off here to all the Intex folks, or they could grab the...

    Intex pump disassembly

I did indeed replace this capacitor with a can type one. Luckily I was able to stuff it in the housing and could still screw it back down with some effort. the pump starts like it was brand new again. Hopefully this will last longer than the original capacitor (not even 1 yr) and help any who...

    Intex pump disassembly

Ok, ok, ok........this is getting stupid. I pulled the capacitor out of the pump and this is what it looks like. I have been ALL OVER and no one has this. The closest I found was a can type that is twice the length. I have no idea how I will get it to fit in the housing. Does anyone...

    Intex pump disassembly

Hey all, I have an Intex 2500 gph pump that is giving me some problems as of late. When the pump starts it seems to be bound up for anywhere 10 seconds to almost a minute before it starts up. During this time it just hums loudly. Has anyone here had the same problems? I am wondering about...
