I get confused on the TA and PH. My ph is 6.8 and my TA is 80. Do I just need to add borax for my ph and not worry about the TA?

This might be a stupid question but I am thinking of buying a fountain that attaches to my return jet to keep water cooler but was thinking that if it is hooked up to the return jet would that not cause problems with circullation?
