I guessed the stains on the bottom and sides were iron, so I tossed in some Vitamin C tabs and sure enough, they each created a little blue circle. Emboldened, I bought a pound of ascorbic acid from the local nursery (only source I could find). Put it in trying to follow mbar's directions, but...

Verro used to do 2 hr cleaning cycle, this year only half hour. After letting it rest a couple of hours I put it back in and it won't run at all. I cleaned out the filter and the innards. It's a few years old. Is it just getting too old? :cry:

Thinking about buying one of those solar pool heater take the water from the pool and run it through some plastic panels. Do they work? Can anyone recommend a particular one? I'm trying to extend my season by a couple of weeks in both directions.
