Here's what happens... Turn the the pump off and switch valve to backwash and turn pump back on. Pump for a while and get some debris out then it clears up. Turn pump off, and switch to backwash rinse, turn pump back on and BOOM!! Blows out way more debris than it did on backwash then clears...

What are the pros and cons of hard plumbing skimmer and return in on an AP? I would like to do it so it is a cleaner looking installation than the flex hose and I can't really see any drawbacks to it but want to ask. I know there are things this first time pool owner is overlooking.
