Hello, We have a old pool that was just resurfaced with plaster. It's a dark pool, they had to chip all of the old plaster out and replace with new. New pool surface and old pool surface were both dark. Even before the pool was filled, there were white stains on the dark surface. When the...

    Do pool vacuums wear out?

Thanks for the reply. It's the same as the one below. I've cleaned out the strainer, back flushed the filter a number of times, so don't think it's that. Also normally when the strainers or filter get clogged, i see a drop in pressure, and i am not seeing that. Pentair Great White I...

Paint a pool, how to get rid of what I am guessing is mineral growth

Hello, I bought a house with an in ground pool. It's a fairly sizable pool, 3ft deep to 8ft deep, about 40 by 30 but roundish. The pool was build in the mid 80's, it was originally a troweled finish of some sort and then painted and all the equipment replaced in the mid to late 2000's...

    PVC Pipes into pool heater

Just to start off, I am a rookie... We bought a house with in ground plaster pool. It's about 20 years old, but the all the pool equipment has been replaced in the last 3 years (heater, filter, pump, etc). We bought the house from an older lady who lived there for the last 40 years. She...
