I tested my FC and thought the number was a little low. For the heck of it, I tested again and got a higher number, then tested again and got a number in between the two. I'm using a TF-100 Test Kit and testing at 10ml. My CYA is around 60 and I'm trying to finish my SLAM by keeping FC at 27...

Thanks again! I have the TF-100 test kit, it doesn't mention that in the standard instructions, but I'll keep that in mind when I get back down to "normal" levels after the SLAM.

Hi Mommyjnny, You do not have to drain the pool 1/2 way. That may affect your your liner. Just drain down to below the skimmer and refill and repeat a few times over the course of a month or two. The metals (copper) will be gone over time. Maybe do longer backwashes also. They have a test for...
