This is the first winter but I don’t think there should be an issue. I’ll let you know in the spring. I did use a floating waterproof floor it sits on waterproof ply wood sub floor.
Hi Jimjim,
I finished a small pool house room in shiplap. Lowe’s had pre stained broads in a color we were happy with. They are tongue and grove. Used white for the ceiling. Went up ez using a brad nailer.
Been following your project. Awesome job!
Great choice. I’m sure you will be happy with the end results. We built in sept too. Waited until springtime do the pavers. Gave the ground a good time to settle and we were swimming in May. Best of luck with your build!
We went with concrete and liner. It’s built using special forms. Design choices and size are fully custom. Very happy with the decision. Plaster on Long Island is very expensive. We have a raised wall water feature which sits right on top of the concrete wall.
Very true. That’s why I like the idea of the speaker switch. Zones can be turned off at night and vol can be kept low. I agree on being considerate of the neighbors. Also have to consider guests. I hate going to a party and having to yell to have a conversation.
I have a similar plan. I like the idea of having multiple zones. You can keep the music at a nice background level without being too loud. I’m going with wall mounted on the house and tic In ground speakers around the pool. I’m using tic sub linked to two sub mini speakers. The plan is to hook...
Thanks guys! We are going to put a small changing room in and rest will be for storage. Nice thing is I can always remove the wall and use the whole shed as a pool house. I’ll post some more pics once it’s finished.
We have a 31 ft pool and went with a wedge. 4 to 6 beam. Over 31 ft the wedge works well. I would caution if you are planning on a slide or jumping rock that 6 feet is not very deep. It works for us and most adults can stand in 90% of the pool. My PB did make the first 3ft off the steps flat. I...
I agree on great company but they need to work on communication. Sorry to hear about the salt issue. As far as the SWG. I don't like the idea of the flow sensor turning off the SWG. Also there are times of the year when I want to run the skimmers longer then the SWG. If you search you will find...
Hey Novice2
Having the same PB as you I would agree that they build great pools but when it comes to chemistry TFP has them hands down. I added CYA too approximately 70-80 because I didn't want to go over. IMO Advice you get on this site is from true pool experts who love their pools. I...
Cool. From what I was told you can install them anywhere from totally in ground to totally above or anywhere in between...they looked nice and you can do free form too. I was...did 22 and out.

Wow! Saw the photos. Backyard came out awesome! My 3x3 foot waterfalls run from a 2" line but are then reduced to 1 1/2 into each unit. Maybe I have no issues because they are only 3' each.

I have 3 three ft sheer descents pool builder ran a 2" line off filter. We did upgrade the pump to a jandy vs pro hp 2.7 works great between 1900-2500 rpm. Did he instal rock traps?

We were first looking to go with a semi in ground. A Well respected pool company suggested radiant pools. Radiant Pools |. Good luck with your build and stay safe in the 44.

Their set on top of a 4" concrete slab. Slab is pinned to pool with rebar to prevent sinking. There are different opinions on installing pavers. I went PB suggestions and experience.

Hi pool novice,
Thank you. We have been very happy with the builder and they have been ahead of schedule. I was concerned about the grade too. As the deep end grade is 8" higher than the pool. That is the reason we went with the wall. Grade drops down on the back side leading to the steps...
Thank you. We plan on replacing the fence with a new pvc fence. We are happy with the wall too. Originally we were going to put in a rock water falls. Pool builder suggested the wall. The wall has 3 shear decent water features and helps with the difference in grade. We are in Farmingdale...
photos of my interlock. Please refer to local building and electrical codes before installing.
There are many safety concerns when using a portable generator. Please follow all safety instructions and local codes. Be safe!

If you have two free breakers in the sub you might be able to install an interlock.
A generator interlock kit (or just interlock kit) is a device designed to allow safe backfeeding of a home through a portable generator during power outages, thereby eliminating illegal and/or unsafe generator...
