    Concrete vs Panels

Great choice. I’m sure you will be happy with the end results. We built in sept too. Waited until springtime do the pavers. Gave the ground a good time to settle and we were swimming in May. Best of luck with your build!

    Concrete vs Panels

We went with concrete and liner. It’s built using special forms. Design choices and size are fully custom. Very happy with the decision. Plaster on Long Island is very expensive. We have a raised wall water feature which sits right on top of the concrete wall.

    Yard speaker planning

Very true. That’s why I like the idea of the speaker switch. Zones can be turned off at night and vol can be kept low. I agree on being considerate of the neighbors. Also have to consider guests. I hate going to a party and having to yell to have a conversation.

    Yard speaker planning

I have a similar plan. I like the idea of having multiple zones. You can keep the music at a nice background level without being too loud. I’m going with wall mounted on the house and tic In ground speakers around the pool. I’m using tic sub linked to two sub mini speakers. The plan is to hook...

Owner build in NJ seeking advice from other Owner builds steel/vinyl

We have a 31 ft pool and went with a wedge. 4 to 6 beam. Over 31 ft the wedge works well. I would caution if you are planning on a slide or jumping rock that 6 feet is not very deep. It works for us and most adults can stand in 90% of the pool. My PB did make the first 3ft off the steps flat. I...

    CYA Questions

I agree on great company but they need to work on communication. Sorry to hear about the salt issue. As far as the SWG. I don't like the idea of the flow sensor turning off the SWG. Also there are times of the year when I want to run the skimmers longer then the SWG. If you search you will find...

    CYA Questions

Hey Novice2 Having the same PB as you I would agree that they build great pools but when it comes to chemistry TFP has them hands down. I added CYA too approximately 70-80 because I didn't want to go over. IMO Advice you get on this site is from true pool experts who love their pools. I...

New pool - Long Island, New York

Hi pool novice, Thank you. We have been very happy with the builder and they have been ahead of schedule. I was concerned about the grade too. As the deep end grade is 8" higher than the pool. That is the reason we went with the wall. Grade drops down on the back side leading to the steps...

New pool - Long Island, New York

Thank you. We plan on replacing the fence with a new pvc fence. We are happy with the wall too. Originally we were going to put in a rock water falls. Pool builder suggested the wall. The wall has 3 shear decent water features and helps with the difference in grade. We are in Farmingdale...
