    Replacing Spa Heater

Hello, I am attempting to replace my spa heater myself. I've done research and watched a lot of videos. The new heater came with cables that go from the element to the circuit board and says to replace the copper straps. There is one blue wire and one black wire. It doesn't say which goes...

    Ozonator question

Thanks everyone, no idea how long it's been like this. My spa is like 7-8 years old, sounds like my ozonator might not even work anymore. How do I tell if works?

    Ozonator question

I noticed this when i was working on my hot tub. I assume this is the hose going to the ozonator (which is in the background of the picture). Looks like there is a piece broken off, part of it in each hose. What does this do and what is the name of the replacement part?

    Electrical question around pump replacement

That was the problem, I cracked open the unions and heard air escaping and quickly closed when water started to come out. Water is flowing now, thanks all.

    Electrical question around pump replacement

No, i thought when I filled it up with water that would just happen. I'm seeing a few videos showing to open the bleeder valve or crack open the unions slightly to let the air escape, guess I will try that next.

    Electrical question around pump replacement

So I replaced my pump with a new one, hooked everything back up. When I turn it on, I hear the pump turning on, but no water flows. Any ideas? Airlock? If so, how do I fix?

    Electrical question around pump replacement

I'm taking on the task of replacing one of my spa pumps myself. I've ordered the new pump and have a question about the wiring. The old one had the white wire in a different place than the way the new pump came to me. Does it matter? How do I know which wires go where? Any chance the beige...

    Spa leaking

I will take some pics when i get home from work. I contemplated hard on starting to the take the deck apart. I still might remove a few boards to gain easier access but there is a bigger issue. Problem is one of the main beams runs right against this side of the hot tub and I'd literally have...

    Spa leaking

I have an artesian spa - tropic seas waikiki 864l. This is a stock photo I found, but wanted to try to show where the leak is. Neither the circ pump or the two pumps I can access from this side are the culprit. If you're looking at the side with all the equipment, it is on the side to the...

Diffuser tube after deep cleaning sand filter

Yeah, I was afraid of that. What is the purpose of this part? I get that its a pressure release thing and it goes out to the return vents. Not sure I understand exactly what that means. I ran everything last night because the temp was getting below freezing, turned everything off this...

Diffuser tube after deep cleaning sand filter

I was deep cleaning my sand filter per the instructions on here. I couldn't get the hose down in there good so I took off the diffuser assembly and wishing I hadn't. Now I can't get that that tube (9/12 in the diagram) put back in place. I can't really see down in there because sand is...

    Deck Lighting issue

I have a Portfolio Outdoor low voltage 300 w transformer running my deck lights. This worked for many years but t hasn't been working properly in awhile and I'm wanting to get it fixed. When I turn it on, it makes this "thunk" sound over and over again every few seconds. I think it may be the...

Backwash pipe blew off when backwashing

Some water does come out during normal operation and the filter doesn't seem to build pressure so I thought it needed to be sealed for it to operate normally. The part number on the assembly is P/n 216050. Here is a look at the hole for the filter.

Backwash pipe blew off when backwashing

Part of the pipe that came off and it looks dang near impossible to remove so you may have just answered my question. Would it be ok if I could find a cap that size to just cap it off and run the filter in normal flow position until I could get this repaired?

Backwash pipe blew off when backwashing

Not sure if it was all the crazy cold weather we had and I had even backwashed one other time since the winter storms, but one morning when backwashing, this happened. Not the greatest pic, but the other side of the pipe that comes out of the filter has a triangle chunk broken out of it and is...

    Poolside grout repair

Not sure which forum is the correct on to ask this question, so I'll start here. I've noticed this crack in the grout between the brick coping and the tile on my pool. Any tips or tricks for fixing this? Do I need to attempt to remove the old grout or just the loose stuff before reapplying...

    Hot tub at 88 degrees

Having an issue with my hot tub. It is set to 101 but it's not making it above 88. The jets are working and there is no error message on the display. One weird thing is that the "mode" button doesn't do anything anymore (I thought maybe it had gotten accidentally put in vacation mode or...
