    Walmart chlorine

So for those of us that use the Walmart $5.67 chlorine, are you having trouble getting it? Used to have it delivered about once every two weeks but haven’t been able to get a delivery in over a week now. Scared my economical source has come to an end. What are the alternatives??

why would I do that if I have no CYA... wouldn't that just be wasting chlorine and costing me money... exactly what you said you are avoiding by not giving me advice?

any other reasons for CYA to be zero?

yep, I get it. Doesn't help me today though! Still would like to know if anyone has any experience with this that can help me today since we are already mid add of a second batch of cya. And it depends on who you ask with the pool store testing, many say that what most stores are using now is...

any other reasons for CYA to be zero?

Good morning! Let me start by saying, I do not have a good test kit. I have taken over the pool care from my husband this year so I am just getting started. We only have the dreaded test strips. I am taking up a sample to my pool store today to get an idea so I can get started but here is my...

Well to say we are frustrated at this point would be an understatement. We were scheduled for plaster for yesterday... we waited two weeks while we watched a finished pool sit because supposedly pebbletec is just that backlogged. Of course, rain had to be foretasted all this week. So on Monday...

yet another DFW pool build thread

We have the exact same issue going on for about a 8 foot segment along the back of ours too. We are looking for ideas too. The problem with ours is that there is a long flower bed just the other side of it only about 18" away so I don't think putting down any kind of rock is going to work. I am...

    Pool + Spa in MA

Is your decking started now? Following over here from the thread on the rock salt decking. You said in that thread that you all did decide to go with the rock salt that is stamped? I am curious if you have pics yet. That is how they are doing ours today too. There was so much conflicting...

Posting update! We were out of town last week and they came and did the stonework and the tile. The tile is a lot lighter than it looked to me in the photos but I do still like it and feel like it lends to the tranquil vibe we are trying to create. Love the way the stonework turned out! There is...

thank you! Your pool is stunning! So glad it is finally done for you!! Yes, we are! We have been here about 11 years. We lived in our old house up until just a few months ago and then bought a different house in our same neighborhood. One of the main reasons we moved is because we wanted a pool...

ack! Patience is not my strong-suit. Tile and stone was supposed to start today and they didn't show up and no response from PB as to when they will be here. Tomorrow it will be a week since anything has been done to the pool and of course rain is projected in the forecast tomorrow through the...

Need Advice Please - Rock Salt Finish Concrete

Bumping this up because I want to get opinions on how slippery it is compared to other deck surfaces? I know someone above said that it isn't slippery at all and wanted to know if others agree? This is what we originally picked to have done because we really like the look and cost of it. BUT...

Thanks so much for your thoughts. I am still thinking on this and need to decide quick. They start tile and stone Monday! Budget wise- we would only add the tiles to the stools and the edge of the tanning ledge. The quote to trim all steps, benches, and the spa was just more than we want to...

Thanks so much for your thoughts.. glass tiles... while it would look so pretty, I am a little apprehensive about it because we aren't using glass tile anywhere else in the pool and I am worried it would look out of place? Stone would be too rough to sit on, would make picks on swimsuit bottoms...

Here is the best pic I got yesterday after gunite. We already have a suicidal frog at the bottom. loved finding that this morning. Watering the gunite should come with hazard pay! I nearly fell down the stairs, poked my foot with some thick barbed wire from something that popped up when I...

They only got a very small portion done on Friday since they didn't start til 2. The pool builder emailed me over the weekend asking how much rain we got.
