People think i am dumb for not going to the pool store too. And when i do it is really just to look at there cool accessories.. pool floats and stuff..
Getting there.. Keep it up. Take pictures daily. It might be another week but you can tell everything is dead.. You will be so happy when it sparkles..
That is how mine was. My first pool only lasted 2 years.. And i was spray painting often. This year new pool no saltwater.. so we will see how it does..
I think you need to read pool school and purchase one of the test kits to make your pool ownership more enjoyable.

Yes. Keep slamming. I have had to slam for a month and a half before.. Opening pools befor water temp gets to 65 is ideal.
Take pictures it will be easier to see progress.. And before you know it you will be using less and less chlorine.
Day two of pool filling. Set up pool filter. Should have filter ready to turn on tomorrow. Added 2 gals of acid. Will test water tomorrow.
Kids jumped in this evening. They said it was nice temp.
Congrats. It feels good knowing your pool is ready when you are. My kids get in every day. Not sure what my water temp is but air temperature for me has to be in the 90's.
