Mechanic's lien and Contractor's complaint (Advice)

Hi, I need some advice. Our PB was last seen in early December trying to fix falls, slide and etc.. A month has passed. What was 1 leak is now 7 coming through the boulders in grotto waterfalls and calcium has developed making big stains. They never got the sheer descents, slide, and spa...

    New Pool build in California

The slide is going up next week. They are waiting for all of the powder to filter out. I wish I could change the tile grout. My husband picked brown without asking me. Oh well. I like the Wet Edge St. Marten color of the interior. It turned out nice.:swim:

    New Pool build in California

So true!! We are still waiting for our concrete to be pored. The few tiles that they changed out make the pool look a LOT better IMO. I can't wait to see your finished pool too! :-):D

    New Pool build in California

Thanks for the comfort and reminders. Sounds like we are in the exact same boat and time! I'm sorry to hear about your delays and PB. I keep telling myself that it's going to work out. I was going to settle for the tile until neighbors and my husband said "That looks terrible! But maybe it'll...

    New Pool build in California

I wish I could say I have more to add. We are at a stalemate with the messed up tile. We couldn't find a replacement that wasn't an upgrade. The company is refusing to compensate for the tile or time delay. I guess if we want the pool done we will have to settle or fork up more cash to change...

    New Pool build in California

How's your pool coming vs925? We blew our budget on this one. We are at about 117k for everything. The dimensions are 55ft long by 18-24ft wide. Our shelf is 11ft I believe and along with the grotto shelf 18inches deep. The depth is 3.6-9feet. The rocks are called Gold Country.

    New Pool build in California

joshuana's Library | Photobucket I'm new to photobucket so I hope you can see the pictures. We had some permit delays with the grotto so alas this is taking much longer than the company promised. 3 week delay. We are also having issues with the tile color. We were shown 3 variations of the same...

    New Pool build in California

I'm a little late posting this process but better late than never. We started our build about 4 weeks ago. There was a delay when they hit our septic and had to reroute everything! Everything seems to be on track now. They are set to shoot the gunite tomorrow. I'm not sure why the pics uploaded...

    Ozone or straight chlorine or????

We are having a pool build and I was told by the builders that salt would be terrible for the rock features we have going in around the pool. So we ordered a ozone system after being told it would help with red eye and irritation and chemical cost/exposure. Can you all give your opinion on this...

Spa and distance from equipment and heater

Thanks for the advice. You said you would move it too. Closer to the spa or where it is now. It's not that I don't trust him per se. He is a great designer and seems nice enough. This company is my husbands choice. I was told by another pool guy that you can spread out your equipment to save...

Spa and distance from equipment and heater

Hello. I'm new to the forum. We just chose a big company to build our pool but just before we signed on it they brought in a new designer who's a rock expert and moved our equipment over 55 feet from the spa. I am wondering if this is going to make the spa hard and expensive to heat. They said...
