In case anybody is interested, I had to buy a new clamp assembly from Amazon. You have to search long and hard to find the part number, but even though it is listed for a different filter, it works. The part number is Hayward DEX2421JKIT DE and Cartridge Filter Clamp and Seal Kit

I have this same issue today. Does anybody know if hbaker was able to get this resolved? Appreciate any help for a newbie.
