Have a 36,000 gal pool. CYA reading is 70. I shut off my chlorinater and don't plan on ever using it again. How much water needs to be drained and refilled to get the CYA to a tolerable level

FC 13 last night 20 CC .5 ph 7.2 TA 70 CYA 38 sand filter had sand replace yesterday and this morning pool much improved but still cloudy at deep end brushed some algae or it might have been dirt. Added chlorine this morning. Can I start adding baking soda now?

Just an update. Pool slowly improving with color now at cloudy blue grey. Visibility improved so that the shallow bottom is visible through the cloudy water. Have been concentrating on the FC and CC. Last night the level got FRC got to 21 and this morning it was 15. there was new visible algae...

Still waiting for my test kit. Since starting i have used 40 gallons of 12.5% and filter has been running continuously(except for backwashing) and i have to add water frequently. Vacuuming to waste, brushing and praying. There is no sign of improvement yet Kit should come in Friday. I will...
