    What's your current pool temp?

68° in the pool and 80° outside and I was already in because I couldn’t stand just staring at the pool because it was so beautiful to look at. I was actually in there for a good 20 minutes. Might try with the wetsuit tomorrow.

    Just opened today

I'm in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia and opened my AG pool today. Water temp is about 50 degrees but air temps are due to go in the 80s this week and I didn't want to take any chances. Thanks to Pool Math last Fall, my levels are perfect. PH and TC and FC are exactly where they should be...

    Wind and pool cover

We put a little bit of elbow grease to make it "stick" to the water and it seems to be holding. I have jugs on hand just in case

    Wind and pool cover

Just got finished closing the pool. All went well except I am concerned with the cover. I have a solid cover which has the ties that go through the grommets and you pull tight. We have it as tight as one can get it but there is still some wind getting through somehow and I feel like this won't...

Should I close, or wait a little longer?

I have a solid cover so that's good. I am going to hold off on the polyquat this time and see what happens.it was 86 today, and scheduled for the same tomorrow before dropping on Friday to normal temps. Sunday to close

Should I close, or wait a little longer?

I am not adding polyquat based on the mixed messages on here about needing it. Is that okay? I am not sure on the cover. It's still in the box because I wasn't sure about closing, so we are waiting until next weekend.

Should I close, or wait a little longer?

My AG pool is at 60 degrees and I was ready to close today but two things have me concerned. Obviously, being my first time closing ever, I want to be sure. Temps outside are due to be low to mid 80s this week and then back down next weekend to high 50s to low 60s during the day and high 40s...

    Antifreeze question

Hi all. It' almost that time to close my AG pool. It has been crystal clear all season with no issues ever thanks to here and the BBB method. That said, I've read tons of posts about RV antifreeze for lines and the pump, but can't seem to find anything on the sand filter. We are moving it...

TFTestkits has a big "Oops" to report

Rebecca, as a previous business owner, I understand the ordeals that happen when you're at the mercy of other suppliers. I totally understand. I am more than pleased as a customer that you're replacing them. thank you so much!

TFTestkits has a big "Oops" to report

    TA high but PH high

So my PH is good at 7.5 but TA is high around 220 (hope it's right as I have bad tips on my bottle) Pool Math is not showing to do anything. Should I add acid or leave as is?

TF-100 First time results. Now what?

I have my return into a small fountain/waterfall like thing which is why the PH might be slightly higher. I'll put it back to normal and see what it does. For now, I'm swimming :)

TF-100 First time results. Now what?

I noticed more of the TA acid adding instructions in the PH section which said to add 32 oz based on my calculations.....so that's what I did. since my cya seemed kind of low, in about an hour, I'm adding more stabilizer too and keeping an eye since that dreaded puck is already gone (good). I...

New pool owner and completely clueless

Just dumped half a gallon of bleach after testing. TA a little high at about 170 (rains did not stop) but the test strips changed colors over a course of a minute so it could be lower. It's better for me to wait until tomorrow for my TF-100 I think before adding. CYA level seems to be over 30...

Okay on the bleach. Headed to Wal-Mart first thing in the morning. I will buy the bleach and add 1/2 a gallon as soon as I get back and then I will test as soon as I'm home from work Monday with the new kit and report numbers. thank you so much for all of the help so far. New pool owner and completely clueless

Just had a MASSIVE rainstorm that lasted almost two hours. Went out to test and check the shock sock. The water got so high that it's overflowing the skimmer. But, the shock has dissolved. Put a new sock that I rigged to get distributed through the return of stabilizer that is listed on bottle...

New pool owner and completely clueless

I read about the pump being a bad idea off. I was planning on taking it out once things have balanced. Since its best right now with the addition of things to keep the pump on, it hopefully will be okay to keep the puck in. i have powdered stabilizer as part of my exchange of chemicals. I will...

Been reading in between checking the pool. I am gaining a LOT of knowledge here. just checked the levels. I don't have my new kit yet, just aqua check strips until Monday when the TF-100 arrives TA is now at about 140-150 PH seems like it's around 7.0. I just made the return face upwards for...
