    Help identify these please?

At one point I did think of the light since the pvc is electrical conduit, but not knowing for sure I thought I would ask. Curiosity mainly. The other PVC line....curiosity also.

    Help identify these please?

First time pool owner in the south, have never seen anything like this before. I don't have lights or a main drain, only thing I can come up with is that they are for ground water during install maybe? I imagine the water table in Louisiana brings about some different techniques for pool...

    Doheny's Discovery, S200, Active20, Triton owners club

Re: Doheny's Discovery, S200, Active20, Triton owners club I'm not sure on the exact price difference, if there is one. From what I remember when comparing the features I would use were all there on both. My decision came from availability with a warranty being honored from online sale. It's...

    Doheny's Discovery, S200, Active20, Triton owners club

Re: Doheny's Discovery, S200, Active20, Triton owners club That's correct, I have one coming this week. Less than $660 with 'handling' charge.

SWG systems that will work at lower flow rates

In response to the Circupool system, I have and RJ60+ and my pressure didn't go up any at all from pre-swg setup. Not sure if anyone else may have had a different experience though.

    Got my robot...

Just out of curiosity, would the Nautilus Plus be worth buying over the Nautilus? Just happens to be one of the models I have been looking at since I need to go a little lower on the $$$ for cleaner since I'm planning on upgrading pump/motor.

    VS pump/2 spd pump pros+cons

Honestly, there is nothing wrong with the pump and motor I have now except for the power draw. I barely need to run my Swg to keep up with chlorine demand. It's just a large amount of leaves/pine needles and pollen/flowers from trees in yard. It's been pretty stormy here and I've been running...

    VS pump/2 spd pump pros+cons

Unfortunately I don't think Beauregard electric has any rebates. I checked the other day. I'm going to do some double checking on my system(just bought house last year w/pool) as far as size and potential saving. Plus an automated cleaner of some sort is in the near future. I really...

    VS pump/2 spd pump pros+cons

Thats the part I wasn't sure of. I assume that the real benefit of VS over a 2spd is the fact that you can 'tune' the pump to your pool/setup/and equipment? Again, It's possible I'm way off here and not sure if the tunability would be more beneficial to me than 2spd with my current setup(which...

    VS pump/2 spd pump pros+cons

I really appreciate all the help. Rates here average out to about 9¢ based off my last bill. It not bad but it sure hurts to run the pump as much as I'd like sometimes. The VS sounds like the way to go for sure. From what I've read about them, since they are always wired hot, I was...

    VS pump/2 spd pump pros+cons

Thank you for your help. I was thinking along the same lines as what you describe. I work in a major chemical plant and have pumps exactly as you describe, so I understand the uses in those applications. It's just tough to apply that to needs VS. Wants in a residential sense. I guess the 2spd...

    VS pump/2 spd pump pros+cons

I'm absolutely loving our pool since going TFP and our recent addition of SWG. However, lately I've been wanting to lighten up our power bill since our Hayward super pump is a power hungry monster. We have a lot of trees by our pool that my wife hates since the squirrels use it for target...

Somewhat new to TFP and SWG

Very interesting, I was brainstorming something in that ball park. I'm going to have to do some looking around for a pump now. Thank you so much. TFP saves the day again.

Somewhat new to TFP and SWG

Well I finished installing my Circupool RJ60 system. I got everything going over the weekend as far as chemical balance for swg per pool school. I have a question about pH and TA though. Since my swg system is tied into my timer for my pump, they both turn on and off together obviously. My...

Somewhat new to TFP and SWG

I appreciate all the help. Going with the 60k, most likely Circupool for no real reason other than size and no serious complaints. Hopefully all goes well and I know where to turn once things get going if I require any help.

Somewhat new to TFP and SWG

Thank you for the info. It's not as easy as I thought it would be choosing. Most of the time people are very happy with SWG brand A, B or C that they have. On occasion, there are people having "common problems" with their particular SWG and that is to be expected with anything. It's just not...

Somewhat new to TFP and SWG

I posted a generic question before in another section of TFP and had lots of help, then I found this one. I'm relatively new to the TFP method and it saved our pool(first time pool owners). It is, however, difficult for me at times with my work schedule being so unpredictable at times. Keeping...

    Want to go swg

I have a concrete deck(poured) and only have chemistry upsets after periods of rain and wind... Darn live oak tree. I get bits of info from friends and what I can find online and just thought I'd come here for some opinions. Size wise and brand/type, this is what I'm not sure on. I was...

    Want to go swg

I have had great success this year, first time pool owner, after leaving pool stores and going with tfp method. The reliability is great but my work schedule does not always work well with the necessary testing, adjusting and shopping for bleach etc. I would like to go to a salt water...

    First time opening pool

Finally figured out the picture uploading. The one with the pole has the brush about 6" off the bottom, or about 2.5' underwater so you have an idea of clarity. There is some brown staining on the stairs and its coping from the leaves I imagine. Hopefully the stuff I have can clean it later on.

    First time opening pool

Finally got back to the pool after a week of 1 gal(8.25%) every day with filter and chlorinator running 24-7 using trichlor. Last night did first tests with K2006 to hopefully start SLAM process. Friday 9pm: FC 8ppm CC 1ppm pH 7.4 TA 50 CYA 0 CH 130 I used the pool calc and...

    First time opening pool

First, thank you for the reply. You confirmed exactly what I thought about the CH, phosphates and most importantly the CYA. I have read and believe I have a pretty good idea of the ABCs and can always go back to read again. I find it funny you knew exactly which local pool store was in question...

    First time opening pool

I have found enough knowledge here to realize I have been wasting time and money at the pool stores so far. A little background first, I have been around pools my whole life, but just bought first home with a relatively new pool. It was open and running great and no problems closing....almost...
