I was going to do the whole housing because my current housing is leaking. My experience in the past has taught me that once you have a leak in a pool light you will always have a leak :/ Thanks for the information!

    New pool light recs

Since I’m replacing an exsisting incedenscent light I’m guessing I go with 120v. I know the length needed and where the junction box is. Not worried about the Morse code as I probably won’t change colors too often.

    New pool light recs

Looking to replace my incandescent pool light with a LED color changing light. Found the Pentair IntelliBrite 5G. Seems like I can run this off one switch and change the colors by turning the switch on-off-on. Anything else I should know before beginning this endeavor (other than electrical...

    Pool leak?

My pool has been losing water quicker than would be expected this time of year. Temps between 60 and 80, losing 1 - 2 inches a week. The water level drops regardless of whether I select the skimmer or drain intake. Where do I start? What do I do next?!? Thanks!

    E command 4 - bad board?

The heater isn't turning on and the e command isn't keeping time. Should there be a voltage across the heater wire? There isn't and I'm afraid I have a bad board. It is also losing a couple hours over a few days.

    Chlorine with colored plaster

I had my gunite pool replastered dark blue. I have been warned that I can't use certain types of chlorine or shock as it will "bleach" the finish. Can you help me to understand what I can and can not use? Thanks!

    Heater not turning on

First, it is a HDF unit. Don't know if that makes a difference. The filter is clean. I tried jumping the 2 limit switches with no luck. I'll try the comm wire next. Is there anything special about that? As a side note, when I pull the connector for the temp sensor the blower will turn on...

    Pool replastered

I just had my pool replastered dark blue. It's been 2 weeks. I have been brushing the pool 1 - 2 times per day and the chemicals are in balance. The pool still needs acid every other day or so. There are a few streaks on the steps, a small white spot on the bottom and some different...

    Shocking and Pool cleaners

The lady at my local pool store told me to remove my Polaris from the pool for 24 hours after I shock. She said this would extend the life of the Polaris because the plastic tubing and parts get bridle faster when exposed to high chlorine levels. Thoughts?

Need a new pressure side cleaner

My very old cleaner has finally died. In looking for a new cleaner I am focusing on Polaris. Because I plan on staying in the house for a while I am lean towards the 3900 sport. Thoughts? Also, the booster pump still works but is older (~15 years old). Is there any advantage or reason to...

Best way to remove/store a solar cover

I had a reel for my solar cover, but that broke and was a pain to move from the pool to behind the garage. I'm looking for an easy solution to remove the cover. During the spring and fall I will frequently remove the cover on the weekends and then replace it during the week. I've read about...

    Tail add-ons for cleaning

I have a Letro Legend cleaner and want to know about the various "add-ons" I've seen at the pool store. Currently on my tail are hard rubber washers that I have replaced a few over time as they wear down. But now I've seen at the pool store foam cylinders that go on the tails to help with...
