Thanks for your reply. My water is from the water company. Since the stains were remarkably less after dumping chlorine over the spot, so you think they are organic? I can get trichlor as well. I think I'll go out another gallon of chlorine in because the FC is only at 5.

Quick update: we passed pre-plaster inspection today. Pebble is scheduled for Thursday, acid wash Friday. Getting close! I think I have everything I need as far as chemicals, etc. I'll be sure to post here for help with the startup if I need it.

I've been talking to the guy at Hiddendrains and he said they are no longer producing the square shower drain. He said they're made by Stetson, of Pouradrain fame. He's out of white and has a few beige. Nice enough guy but the site isn't a priority for him. Sounds like a business opportunity...
