Is it time for a new salt cell?

I think you’re on to something Allen! I just went out to the pool controls, I turned the chlorinator on with the pump off, it’s generating with no flow. If I unplug the flow sensor it goes to the no flow warning. I believe my new flow sensor failed after a week. I think you were/are right and...

Is it time for a new salt cell?

I replaced the flow switch after I opened the pool this year (it must have failed over winter while the pool was closed, with no power to it or the pump) everything was good after replacing flow switch (For a short time). The “check salt” and “inspect cell” issues started about a week after...

Is it time for a new salt cell?

It currently does not, I wrongly have relied on the flow switch to turn it on. It has been like that since we installed the pool, going on 8 years ago. I will be changing that, I plan to add another timer. I ordered a new salt cell today, ouch! Mike

Is it time for a new salt cell?

Hello pool enthusiasts I’m looking to the forum to help me with my problem. This year’s opening hasn’t gone as well as past ones. Our pool and salt system has served us well since install, going on 8 years ago until now. Things started out with the no flow warning (Hayward Turbo Cell T 15)...

Outdoor speakers for pool and patio

We bought two of the TIC GS-3 for the far side of the pool, and two Polk Audio speakers for the pavillion. Were very happy with both sets.

There's a dead animal in my pool

Ok, that's worse than a mole. If it were in my pool I would just hope I was the one to find it (then I would dispose of it and never tell the girls for fear they wouldn't swim in the pool ever again).

There's a dead animal in my pool

Looks like a mole, we had one earlier this year in our pool. It also ended up in our skimmer, I would put a grocery bag over your hand (like a glove) and pull it out. But as my daughters say "dad's gross!" Mike

    New build in Indiana

Hi Sparker, I'm sorry, but I don't feel that I know enough to recommend exactly where the second skimmer should go. I do think prevailing wind would be important, which leads me to agree with your thoughts. i used a guy who also worked for a large pool company but did installs on the side...

    New build in Indiana

We installed a 18x36 inground vinyl pool late last year, our builder went with the two main drains, one skimmer two return jets. We are happy, but from the little time we have had ours up and running if I would change anything it would be to add a second skimmer and at least two more return...

    Adding Chemicals - Epic Fail

Ok this thread brought me out of lurker status (my first official reply to a thread). I will confess to my failed attempt at adding CYA by sock. I had my sock set up on a string near the discharge at the deep end. I had just started the maiden voyage of my new Dolphin M400 (which I purchased due...
