    First time closing pool!

Yes I have a aquadoor. I think I would feel better still draining the pool below skimmer.

    Duck Problem!!!

Just installed a new pool a couple weeks ago and yesterday I was dreaming of the weather being warmer so I could actually use the pool and 3 ducks flew in and landed directly in my pool! I chased them off with the skimmer handle and hopefully they don't come back! Any proven methods of Duck...

Thanks! I have read it all several times I just wanted to make sure I was correct in my thinking. What I read and what my brain computes doesn't always correlate!

Ok here are my current readings. Haven't added anything since 4/23/16. We had a large amount of rain yesterday, don't know if that matters. Ph is between 7.8 and 8.3. Any suggestions? Acid perhaps? Ph 7.8 Fc 5 Cc .5 Ta 180 Cya 40

Great thanks I even went out and bought the acid! Glad I waited. I'll get it all right one day! Thanks again

Yes it was a new fill. So correct me if I am wrong. My TA is too high and I should add muractic acid which brings down my PH and TA? Then I should aerate or add baking soda to bring my PH back up?

Ok thanks for the heads up! I will not add the mineral canister. Maybe I'll just eliminate the inline tri chlor all together.

Accidentally added 4lbs of DE instead of 3lbs. 14.5 psi on the gauge. I don't know what I was thinking! Is that really bad? is it ok to post this question here or should it be somewhere else?

    DE Filter & 2-Speed Pump?

That was the only option they gave me for the 2 stage pump. I have also read everything in pool school and purchased TF-100 kit with XL option and the speed stir. I was just wondering about anything that I should look out for or should absolutely do because of the new installation.

    DE Filter & 2-Speed Pump?

Well I insisted on the 2 stage pump and they were very reluctant Do it because the DE filter comes prepackaged with the 1.5hp pump in the same box as the filter. They were just being lazy! So it's a 2hp two stage hayward. Pool is getting installed today. I am on a well so water is being...

    DE Filter & 2-Speed Pump?

    DE Filter & 2-Speed Pump?

I recently purchased a pool with a DE filter and I am still awaiting delivery. I contacted the salesman to see if I could change the 1.5HP pump to a 2 stage pump. The sale person said that DE filters don't work well with 2 stage pumps? Is that True??

Hello from Chicago! New pool owner

This is what I was thinking about for the deck. I need to keep everything on the side where the stairs are at. That is the closest side to running my electric and gas. http://i.imgur.com/n1pvSTA.jpg
