Pool/Spa ~10-15' above pool equipment - no bubbles in spa

Thanks again! I hadn't see that before and I was about to buy it but realized I have a 5hp Wet Vac I could try. If that doesn't work I'll be ordering this.

Pool/Spa ~10-15' above pool equipment - no bubbles in spa

Oh sorry but I was wrong on the current blower. It is 1.5 hp not .5. Would 2 hp make any difference?

Pool/Spa ~10-15' above pool equipment - no bubbles in spa

Thank you for your response! Sorry but I don’t get notifications for some reason when someone responds. I accept that blowing it out is pointless because it’ll just fill up with water again but it DOES work for the one time we’re out there. If I knew how to blow out the spa I wouldn’t mind...

Pool/Spa ~10-15' above pool equipment - no bubbles in spa

Hello, About 2 years after our pool was built we started having issues with the bubbles in our spa which then resulted in no bubbles at all. I'd call a pool company here and there to look at it and one replaced the blower (1/2 HP) and "blew out" the lines and the bubbles worked again. The...

I feel like I'm doing something wrong...

I put the ET into service mode and checked the pump - it is set to a max of 3450 RPM.

I feel like I'm doing something wrong...

Yes, it's ~1/2 way up the skimmer

I feel like I'm doing something wrong...

Yes, I have regular returns as well and also a waterfall into a spa that waterfalls into the pool which is where most of the water is returned to the pool (now... because I can't get the RPMs above ~1750) Yes I used to have it closed but the latest pool repair company that came out told me...

I feel like I'm doing something wrong...

Thank you @mknauss ! Yes bad PB experience all around... In floor they hard sold us on is useless so I don't even have the valve open. We have a robot cleaner to clean the floor since in floor just pushes all debris to the sides of the pool, not the main drain. Don't get me started!

I feel like I'm doing something wrong...

Spot on advice - I just went out and set it to 1300 and it went straight to exactly 1300 RPM. Do you know where a setting would be that would limit the RPM of the pump in an easytouch Pentair system? I can't find it in any of the obvious menu settings - maybe on the pump itself which says is...

I feel like I'm doing something wrong...

Will check that, thank you. I feel like it needs to run faster because it takes days to get grass clippings off the top of the pool after mowing the lawn. The only direction the wind blows in my backyard is right to left and the PB put 1 skimmer on the far right of the pool which gets next to...

I feel like I'm doing something wrong...

Sorry, work got busy... I had to get a new pump installed and all they had was the Pentair VSF pump. When the guy installed it he set the GPM to 50 and said that was good for an 8 hour runtime for a ~23,000 gallon pool. I found that it wasn't getting enough yard droppings in the skimmers so...

I feel like I'm doing something wrong...

Hi all, wonderful site here - you all have helped me figure out how to maintain my pool for the last ~6 years and it's been autopilot ever since adding bleach every day and enjoying a wonderful algae free pool. I've added solar heating to the pool since installing it and that also works great...

Stenner liquid chlorine pump - How to choose and install

Hi, lots of great info here and helping me feel more confident about doing this myself. I've read through all 10 pages here and hoping you can help with my install. I need to add ~40 oz of bleach every day into my inground pool. I want to run the pump on an outdoor timer with a 30 gallon...

    Drilling into mortar

Good question! Pool builder lost the conduit they placed to run irrigation to a landscaping area near my pool so I'm trying to hide as best as possible the irrigation line to the area. Right now I'm drilling into the mortar for the flagstone but it'd be better hidden if I can drill into the part...

    Help with green pool

Do you have a test kit? Do you use chlorine pucks or bleach? Can you post your results like: FC: ? CC: ? PH: ? TA: ? CH: ? CYA: ? The CYA is pretty important here since it sounds like you're using powdered shock (is that right?). If so, you've been adding quite a bit of CYA which, at a...

Here we go in New Braunfels, TX!

Not sure and we're out of town right now - I'll measure when I get back! I'm hoping it'll still be clear when I get back - I raised the FC to ~5ppm before I left and put 5 pucks in the in line chlorinator (my CYA is less than 20 right now and I'm trying to raise it to ~40). We'll see and I'll...

    I made a pool logger

Howdy neighbor! I'm in New Braunfels, TX and would love to help test this with you. Sounds like a great idea and I've only had my pool filled since August 7th so I don't have that much past data to enter! I'll send you a PM if you're still open to more testers. Thanks!

Here we go in New Braunfels, TX!

Finally got water in the pool! It was about a week and a half ago so it's been pretty busy but wanted to share the latest update. Still a work in progress since they're finishing up the landscaping and more rocks around the waterfall but the light at the end of the tunnel is almost here (and...
