I have backwashed 3 times. First time it went out after the 2nd back wash. This time after 1!!!! Not good.

Did a backwash on our filter back in early August. The site glass for the backwash was clear when we did the backwash, (of course it changed as we back washed the filter, then went clear again). Today I noticed that the site class in a beautiful shade of green. Is that normal? Should I be concerned?

We are sitting at 90. THI last week was well over 100. Right now it is 88 but feels like 93.

Some pics of the pool now that we have had it completed a couple of months and the yard is coming back into shape. Pool temp was 88 today! We have been in it since it was 76! I included a bird's eye view of the design so you can see how close it came to what we were presented. Terry

Both of us turning 54 this year. First pool build completed in April. We love the idea and our married kids and GRANDS love it! Good excuse to get them to come over.

Will do. The Chlorine test result was a 5. I am keeping an eye on PH. It is actually down a tad from my first test with the builder kit. Will likely have to add some acid at some point. I have the water feature off. With the rain and water feature did not want the PH to go higher.

Thanks all. The pool has had water for over a week in it and we are seeing no evidence of an issue. Needsajet, we are addressing the downspout. We are going to put in a underground drain to take the water away from that area. We had noticed that as well. Here are some pics of the pool taken today.

Well it is finished! They finished up last weekend and water was going in early on Sat. Here is a couple of pics of the finished pool. Still lots of landscaping work to do! Let the fun begin!

This was prior to acid wash. They did that today and after consultation with pool builder and plaster company we are filling the pool. It has been well documented if we have issues.

That was areas where we saw some weeping through the gunite (which is totally normal, since gunite is pourous), but we were concerned to see it through the plaster. Thought...

Thanks for the heads up on the light. That could be it. The side area is more my concern. If there is water there it is has to be coming into the pool from the side wall. With the pool about 14ft from the house, my concern is that we are looking at potential foundation issues if water is leaking...
