    Pool Pump Timer Connection Problem

Ok so I should be measuring 220V on the cables that go to 1&3? Do I measure volts on those cables against ground? 2&4 being the load cables (to the pump) is clear. I don't think this is correct. Poles 1 and 3 have 3 wires like the drawing linked above shows. The white wires in the middles of...

    Pool Pump Timer Connection Problem

Being the genius that I am I didn't think about taking a picture of the cable connections on the broken pump timer of my GF's pool before exchanging it for a new one. I believe either the red cable going to the first pole is incorrectly connected or the white one. The pump does turn on right now...

First complete test - High CH

Thanks, but: Are you sure you mean you need to lower PH and TA levels when CH is high and not the opposite? When I increase PH and TA in PoolMath is when my CSI comes closer to zero. When I lower PH and TA then CSI increases. At 550 CH with a PH of 7.5 and TA of 100 I am almost at zero at...

First complete test - High CH

Ok. I've been experimenting with this and I am a lil confused. If I raise PH to 7.5 and TA to 100, the CSI will go down to -0.05 at 550 CH which is what I currently have. If I keep PH at 7.4 and TA at 80 but reduce CH to 350 CSI turns to -0.46. Does this mean it is better I run the pool at...

Chemistry help for daughter with eczema

1000 ppm for salt is not much at all. The ocean is at 32000 ppm. Most SWG pools are at around 4000 ppm. Do you know someone with a SWG pool your daugher can try and see how she (her skin) likes it? How about the ocean? Can she swim in the ocean, comfortably, for long periods of time? Guess what...

    SWG testing

Man... If that guy says salt is not a dissolved solid I wonder how much money he has cost all the customers he deals with. He is either a total buffoon or a ruthless scammer.

First complete test - High CH

The Florida sunshine part makes. How about temperature? Does that affect the CYA and FC levels I should run or is sunshine/UV rays the biggest factor?

First complete test - High CH

I understand the FC and CYA values you recommend are what's recommended here but I am still debating if they might not be too high. The Jandy manual for the SWG recommends lower values. 2015-09-28_1109 - CrownImperial's library...

First complete test - High CH

This is my first semi-complete water test. Pool is about 1 month old. IG 12000 g plaster FC: 2.6 CC: 0.2 PH: 7.2 TA: 40 CH: 600 CYA: 55 Not much I can do to lower CH outside of replacing water from what I have been reading. Any other suggestions? Should I take a tap water measurement to...

    Swamp Pool

There are two main drains on the deep end, two jets on the shallow area, and one jet on each opposing wall of the pool. So 4 jets total. From the look of it I think circulation is not a problem although I could be wrong of course.

    Swamp Pool

As of now I have only measured PH and FC. PH was brought down with muriatic acid from about 8 to 7 and is currently at about 7.2 The pool was shocked with bleach by the maintenance company a few times I believe but not sure. FC was at 1ppm a week ago. I added salt to the water and left the...

    Swamp Pool

Hiyathere, My pool was just finished about a month ago. It's my first pool build and my first house. Acquired a little less than two years ago. The build time was ok although there were a few problems once finished. The pavers along one of the sides caved in due to improper filling around the...
