Liner install - Do I keep these in place?

Had new liner installed in the fall. Installer left these things in all the corners. Do they need to stay or can I remove them? Some have fallen out.

Looking for pictures of benches for pool cover

Exactly. I finally came up with a plan and built one. Not an easy project but I’m really happy with it.

Looking for pictures of benches for pool cover

I plan on building my own bench to sit on top of my automatic pool cover sitting on the pool deck. I got the metal frame kit from the pool cover supplier, but I'd like to see some various ideas on how folks built their pool cover benches.

    In wall step trim

Just had a new liner put in. Installers left off the thin plastic trim pieces that cover all the ugly screws. Any idea where I can buy replacements?

Losing 1” of water per week!?

Now that it’s really cold, I don’t think anybody’s gonna get in the pool until the summer.

Losing 1” of water per week!?

Installer is being helpful. He came back out with a "Leaktronics" leak detection system. He couldn't find anything. One possible theory is that in years past, I would winterize by draining the water way down below the returns. This year I used the aquadoor and elbows on the returns and kept...

Losing 1” of water per week!?

Got a new liner installed about a month ago. Now with the safety cover on, I’ve been noticing about an inch of water loss per week. Does that seem right? The pool company that installed the liner said that’s normal.

Getting New Liner - Need advice on draining and removing old liner

The liner installer said I need to remove the wall light completely. Pulling the wiring out all the way back to the house! Does this sound right? Kind of a pain.

Getting New Liner - Need advice on draining and removing old liner

Pool place is replacing my liner. To save money, they said I could drain and remove my old liner. Any advice on this?

    Pump dry when starting OK?

Yeah, it might be a simple project since I do have a union. It appears to be a male threaded fitting that goes into the inlet of the pump.?

    Pump dry when starting OK?

Yeah, single speed. I think last year I figured out that I'd save a couple hundred by running it on the timer. I don't know, maybe I'll get ambitious and try to fix. I do have unions on the unit, so that makes it a bit easier.

    Pump dry when starting OK?

I think I found the air is coming in where the PVC comes into the pump/basket. You can see where the previous owner globed a bunch of sealant around there. It really only seems to be a problem when I stop the pump. The basket stays completely full when the pump is running. Maybe I just leave...

    Pump dry when starting OK?

As soon as I unplug the pump I see air bubbles coming from what seems like the bottom of the lid where the o-ring is. However, even if I rotate the lid, the bubbles still come from the same spot on the housing. That makes me think it's not the lid or the o-ring. The bubbles always come up from...

    Pump dry when starting OK?

It's happening again. ? I replaced the lid o-ring and greased it up. The lid is definitely tight. I see no signs of water from anywhere signifying a leak. The pump basket stays completely full when running. Any ideas? IMG 2374 — imgbb.com IMG 2375 — imgbb.com

    Pump dry when starting OK?

Re: Pump dry when starting OK? - SOLVED I think I figured it out, I was sucking air in from the top of the basket/pot on the pump. Fixed that and now water is staying in there when the pump is off. Thanks

    Pump dry when starting OK?

I looked at the pump this morning. The basket was nearly empty. Just a little bit of water left in the bottom of the basket. Just to be safe, I removed the timer and am running the pump continously. I didn't see any obvious leaks. I'll look again tonight.

    Pump dry when starting OK?

Yeah, there's some water in the basket. It does "froth" around and then starts pumping.

    Pump dry when starting OK?

I run my pump on a timer. I noticed that when it starts up the filter basket isn't full of water and it has to suck water in. It gets going OK. I just wanted to make sure this wasn't a problem. There's a sticker on the pump that says the basket should be full of water prior to starting...

CYA up to 60. I'm now switching to Bleach - Am I OK?

Bought the house about 1 year ago. Did what the previous owner did (pucks in skimmer). I now understand CYA and have a good test kit. My CYA has started to creep up to 60. I stopped the pucks, and started using Bleach. I don't want to mess with a major drain at this point (I drain some...

Broken Float Rope Anchor - Help

I'm thinking maybe a magnetic hook against the side of the pool would work best. That way if the kids try to pull on the rope they would just pull the magnet off and not break the ring again.

Broken Float Rope Anchor - Help

Kids broke the plastic float rope anchor. I tried fixing my running a screw thru, broke again. How would you go about fixing this? Also, it seems like this is likely to happen, maybe some type of breakaway connection that would pull off before the anchor breaks....
