    Pump loses prime

I repositioned the gasket under the pump lid, as well as the o-ring inside of the pipe union. Things seem better. The pump prime itself in 2 minutes. I still see bubble in the return, and there is 3 inch air pocket right under the pump lid. Once I shut down the pump, the air pocket slowly...

Lost 2x 184oz bottles worth of Chlorine in 6 hours

Thank you all for clear explanations. I tested overnight FC loss. The pool lost ~1ppm overnight. As well I tested CYA, unfortunately the minimum CYA mark on Taylor K-2006 test tube is 30. My fill the tube all the way up and the black dot is still clear, so I must have a very low CYA level...

solar cover size, slightly smaller than pool?

My pool is little larger than 16x32. Shall I choose the solar cover size 16x32? Is the solar cover supposed to be floating on the water surface? Or should it be larger to cover the coping? Also, how about the stepping area? Just leave it?

    Automatic feeder for bleach

I know, I am lazy. Pouring bleach 2 minutes per day still seems too much for me. I am wondering if anybody tried or think about setting up a automatic feeder for bleach. Then we only need pour bleach into a larger container every weekend, or something like that. Any idea?

Greetings, I am new pool owner. Long story short, the pool was neglected by previous owner last fall, they do hire people to close the pool, but my guess is they didn't vacuum it nor check chemistry. For some reason, I just opened the pool 3 days ago (yeah, not too much time left, hehe), the...
