Is there any way to address underground plumbing leaks without ripping everything out? I lose about 1/2” or more in the pool per day, in the spa I lose 3 to 4 inches per day. I checked the equipment, there is no leak anywhere.

Are there any write ups on the pros and cons of switching to a SWG? I'm told the biggest advantage is that I don't have to constantly maintain the pool chlorine level. It's for our summer home which will save me the hassle of making weekly trips to the house in order to maintain the pool chemistry.

I've read that you should add DE to your sand filter to make it more effective until the pressure goes up by 1 psi. Is there a reason why you shouldn't go higher, say 2, 3 or even 5 psi? Just curious because I have seen a significant difference in the water clarity after only 2 days after adding DE.
