TFP ROCKS! Recovered from major swamp thing in 2016.

When I uncovered my pool in 2016, this is what drove me to TFP. Everyone said now way, I had to drain. I spent a gaziliion hours here, totally did not want to drain, doggedly followed TFP plan, ( except for the chlorox I used, I swear I never saw the no chlorox thing until this year) I must of...

Accidental conversion to bromine pool, What now?

Before I found this site, I did a mustard algae treatment on my pool using sodium bromide. I added a total of 24 ounces of granular 99% sodium bromide in two dose (12 oz) 12 hours apart then shocked with cal hypo 1 lb after each dose. Both the pool store and the company, Poolife, tell me it does...

Ia am battling a high TA of 200. I am using the lower to 7 and aerate but I'm not really getting anywhere. I only have two return jets in my pool, it is a 27 year old pool. I have pointed the eyeball up, but there really aren't any bubbles, but it is breaking the surface of the water. Here are...

Water testing has my head spinning

Hello, I am new to the forum and have spend many hour reading all the various pool school recommendations and a multitude of posts. On June 6th I opened the pool to find a terrible swamp. After much bleach (about 25 gallons) the water is now crystal clear. Then I could not get it to hold...
