    Abnormal readings

    Is it normal for a SWG to read lower than what the Taylor K-1766 test reads. I have the Pentaire IC40 with Easy Touch system. The easy touch diagnostics shows 2450 ppm whereas the Taylor K-1766 shows 3600. Big discrepancy. If I add more salt to get the SWG to where it needs to be in order to...

    Need some advice on CYA, TA, & CH

    Using my TF-100 Test Kit here's my readings FC = 5.5 CC = 0.5 CH = 350 TA = 50 CYA = 20 PH = 7.8 Sounds like I need to add stabilizer and I'd like to get my CH to 300. I've never had TA that low. Thanks in advance for your help.

    I received my TF-100 & Taylor K-1766 salt test kit. Here are my results.

    Water temp is 42 degrees. Water is clear. FC- 0.5 CC- 0.5 TC-.1 CH- 350 (some calcium deposits on some tiles & deposits on rocks in water under waterfall) TA- 90 CYA- 30 PH- 7.8 Borate test strip shows 15 but I haven't added any.     Ordered testing materials.

    I ordered the TF-100, magnetic stirrer, Taylor K-1766 Salt Test, & Borates test strips from TFTestkits.net couple days ago. Should be here the 28th. I'm ready to start testing efficiently & effectively! 8-)
