    Moved and New Pool Opening

Hi All, I recently moved from Richmond, VA to Sioux City, Iowa. I know the pool season is much shorter and have a nice pool to learn. First things first, I opened it this past weekend with success getting the pump primed and everything flowing. There are a few things that I haven't had...

    Order of Operations

I opened up the pool last weekend and have it cleaned up from deep green to perfectly clear. I have bought out all of the large bleach at local Walmart and the next closest and am down to my last 4 jugs as I am trying to clean up after an algae bloom. I shocked it yesterday and have been adding 7 jugs of 182 oz bleach (36,000 gallons pool) every 30 mins this afternoon and have done 6...

    Pool Tips

Not that I am an expert, actually far from it, but more because I am captured by human nature and am lazy, I thought it would be good to start a thread of tips to make life easier when servicing, cleaning and generally maintaining a pool. My apologies if this has been done before, but again, I...
