Can 6x6 tile be cut to 2x2 and look ok?

Hi all, it's been awhile...please tell me if my PB is full of it...very very long story short, after 2.5 years of nonsense from my PB, they finally have agreed to replaster my pool since EVERYONE (ok, except the plaster company owner, lol) they sent out here including an independent third party...

    scale?

I need opinions from people I can trust...very long story short...99% of my pool is like a light blue color (Wet Edge Cadet Blue)...1% is a dark blue where the plaster people attempted to fix a bad plaster job. The pool was originally plastered Nov 2021 and they attempted their fix Jan 2022...

    I know better (pool store)...

Went to the pool store today to pick up Muriatic Acid. While I was there figured I would get "official" water testing done since it's been quite awhile (supposed to have "official" tests for any plaster claims is my understanding). So guy runs all the tests and then tells me I need to add 2.1...

What does this symbol in Intellicenter app mean...

I have an Aqua Cal heat pump/chiller...I'm not sure that the chiller is working but it's also been freakin' hot so maybe it's hit its limit? What does this flame mean? I don't want to waste time and/or money on a service call if unnecessary.

    Inconsistent test results...thoughts?

This seems like something I should be able to find the answer to buuutttt, I couldn't so here I am :) How do you turn the IC60 off? My phone app will only allow 1% as the lowest number...won't take 0%. Do I turn the breaker off? Turn pumps off? Thanks 😊

    How often to do OCLT

I'm curious if people do an OCLT occasionally to confirm there's no issues. Like is that something I should do once a month or only if you think you have a problem?

How to get plaster off coping and tile

My pool was plastered in Oct and the company got plaster all over the place...some was cleaned up but there is still plaster on the coping (mostly on the underside) and waterline tile. Can I use Muriatic Acid to clean it off or is that going to damage the coping and tile? I know I should...

    Reading TA test

I think I have been inconsistent on the TA testing. Am I supposed to stop counting drops when I first get to a pink color or keep going until it doesn't change? Like today, I got a fairly bright pink color at 8 drops but did one more drop and it changed a little. I realize 1 drop difference...

    PV3 pressure gauge missing

The PV3 manual shows a pressure gauge on the water valve but the PB didn't install one. There is a pressure gauge on the filter. Is it redundant to have it on the water valve or should I have it in both places?

    weir door

Hard to get a good picture but my question is: I thought the weir door was supposed to open and close somewhat...I have 2 skimmers and the weir doors on both pretty much stay open in the position below...they aren't stuck, I can easily move them by hand...is my understanding of how these work...

    Ways reduce turbulence?

I filled up my new pool 2 weeks ago. In the shallow end it is only 8' wide, the sunshelf area is about 16' wide and then the deep end is 11' wide and it's 52' long. I thought that the turbulence would be minimal and not bother me but I was wrong (gah!). A lane line would probably work but I...

    Buying and storing chemicals

One of these days (maybe) my PB will decide to actually plaster my pool. The PB is *supposed* to take care of the pool chemicals for the first month but according to another TFP member, their version of taking care of the pool is to come once a week so in reality I need to be ready to take care...

Is this ok for fill water?

One of these days hopefully soon I will be getting plaster and then can finally fill the pool. I got my TF-100 test kit and tested the water that will be used to fill. I had to use the "fading endpoint" instructions for CH. My question related to that is, Do I need to figure out what metals...

First pool Tampa area - Plumbing question

Hello all! Been reading a lot on this site...still a lot more to learn...below is what is proposed with the PB that I'm leaning towards. 54' long; 8'-11' wide (will be 15' wide at sunshelf) 3.5' - 6' deep (may change to 4' - 6') about 20k gallons by my calc (need to confirm) (2) Pentair 3HP VS...
